I'm on about day 5 now of being mostly raw with the only things I'm not having are still vegan. Today I have not felt hungry which worries me, but I do feel bloated and not toned like usual. My skin has broken out and seems dull. I feel very low like I am about to cry. Is this part of the detox?

I asked a question about not being hungry, the responses I got were trust your body.

I'm sorry you're not feeling so hot, but this early, I'm guessing your body is doing a lot of adjusting and detoxing. Hope you feel better soon. :)

This is detox. If you do not feel like eating then do not eat but make sure and stay hydrated.

STAY HYDRATED.

Detox it is. And patience with your body's need to adjust, you will need.

(That sounded very Yoda-ish of me...)

Sure is.
Advice.... lay down on a nice cushy bed and be sure to throw away the mirrors for a few weeks. Think of how long it takes new growth on plants to manifest and apply it to your body multiplying new cells. As a matter of fact, every cell in your body is replaced every 7 years.

Oh,I forgot to say cry.Tears release pain medicine-endorphins,and always make me feel better.I think people look beautiful after they cry.I had a bunch of sadness come out as my body healed.
Congratulations Stephen for taking this on and taking care of YOU! I am so proud of you.

RAW Vegetables can contribute to gas in the Body that is why you are feeling Bloated. In time you will adjust although some Foods are just more gas forming than others. Don't allow yourself to become too weak by not eating, sometimes eventhough you don't feel hungry your Body needs nourishment.

Hang in there, detox is something almost all of us go through, and the extent varies from person to person depending on a lot of factors including your previous diet.

I don't get detox, except for a bit of mild acne, but I'm doing a 6 month 100% raw stint at the moment and am getting a fair bit of acne and dry skin. I know this will pass as I've experienced things like this before, it's just the body's way of excreting crap and dealing with it.

Generally the other end when you get through it is absolutely WELL worth the trouble!
