I think i read that you need a special blender because cheap ones can destroy the nutrients in food. true?

Not true. We use high-powered blenders because they are easier, faster and get the job done without killing the motor.

You may have gotten that confused with high speed centrifugal juicers - of which the debate is still going on.

It can destroy nutrients if you let it heat up, though not sure how hot those can get before they refuse to work (or like Revvell said, kill the motor). The high-powered blenders basically make being raw easier for most.
