Hi there,

This may be silly, but I admit to being confused about vegetables like nori, wakame, kelp, etc. When buying them would all of them always say Raw? I go to a health food store that is the biggest in my area and they have a bunch of raw foods, but when I get to these veggies, they don't actually say it and I'm not sure if they are supposed to?

Any advice on how to shop for these?

Thanks
Kira

When in doubt e-mail or call company. Even the HFS should call for you. I have for many customers. Also if it says toasted - obviously it's not raw.

I used to think if it said "sun dried" that meant raw. Not true!!! The fine print on the back of my package of "Wild-Harvest Organic Sun-Dried Arame" says it is finely shredded, simmered for several hours, and naturally dried in the sun. Oops!

Go swimming in the ocean and open your mouth.Thats raw!!!! aww just being humourous. I just sprinkle the raw seaweeds mixes on my salads and eat chlorella spirulina tablets. Seaweed not my thing.
