View Full Version : signing on everytime?

Hi,
Usually, I've been able to come onto this site and be signed on already - only have to sign in every week or so. But for some reason, I have to sign in EVERY time I visit - kind of a pain. Is there some way I can be signed in all the time? Is there a little "remember me" thing like other forums have?
thanks.

Next time you come on, reply to a post ~ any post. The sign on thingy will come on. Sign on, then go 'bout your biz. NEVER sign off. Should be able to come on again w/out signing on.

Cool, that is what I did. I couldn't figure out what I did that 'kept' me signed in. I deleted my cookies and when I did I had to sign in everytime I came to the site. Then one day it just cleared up on it's own. THEN I had to delete all my cookies again and same thing. HA! Silly Me. :p I remember doing what you mentioned but I never figured out that was fixing the problem.

:p

Love,
Angie

All I did was sign off and had to sign in every time. Then I inadvertantly did what I just said and voila! Never have to sign in again. :)

OK I am trying this as well but if I have read you correctly I will need to find some tread every morning to reply to even if my reply is nonsense. From now on I will be saying Good Morning to you all before most of you have any notion of getting out of bed

No, you only have to do it the one time ~ and not sign off. Just close the window. Yet, go 'head and say "Good Morning" to us all anyway as some here have no one to wish them a "good morning" so it would be nice. <G>

It did not work for me. I logged on as you suggested by attempting to reply to a post. I did not close the window but minimised it while I did other tasks and when I clicked on it again it had logged me out. I can tell immediatly if I am logged out because the post times are in U.S. time whereas when I am logged on they are in G.M.T.

And so you had to sign on again? *shrugs* I'm 'puter illiterate. All I know is, it works for me and for others as this question has come up previously. I can't find the post as mine don't go back that far. Maybe it's a question of server or something.

When this was happening to me and then when it finally fixed it self I just figured I had logged on enough times that it finally took. HA HA HA!

Sport you say you are still having problems? Do you have cookies enabled on your computer?

Angie

I have enabled my cookies so now I do not have to log on at all. I am about to make it my home page so I dont even have to go to favorites to find it. How lazy is that.

I think that if you change your settings to allow cookies from this site then this problem will go away. It did for me anyway

I may have figured this out.
When you clear your cookies and then sign in on the home page, it does not give you a cookie.

However, when you sign in via vcard, it has a remember me checkbox. This allows it to place a cookie on your pc to remember your login info.
Go to your user control panel and click on edit options. The first option will be Login and privacy. Be sure allow vcard download is checked. Then click save changes at the bottom of that page.

Now to get the Vbulletin sign in, try replying to a message. It will pop up a Vbulletin screen asking you to fill in your log in info Make sure you click remember me.

Please let me know if this works for you.

Blessings~
Carmel
