View Full Version : Laser Hair Removal For Unwanted Facial Hair...

I let my full, thick natural eyebrows grow out, for I'd gotten tired of constantly plucking & waxing. Not all the hairs grew at the same rate so I needed to trim them daily! What's worse, I always had tons of black specs just below the skin's surface as the new hairs were about to emerge... I hated it! So, I decided to go au naturel and I absolutely love not having to worry about it anymore but lately people have been commenting on how scary I look... :( I do believe there's some truth to that; I don't feel like my plain dark brown eyes with short slanted eyelashes carry them heavy eyebrows well so, I am thinking of having them shaped again but not the very time consuming way I used to!

Is laser hair removal in contrast with our natural lifestyle? or even harmful?

Thank you :)

I have been thinking about this too, as I am a very hairy person, on my eyebrows, my head, my whole body.
I have gone through periods of growing all my hair out, because it is such a hassle to remove. But eventually I always cave, conform and shave/wax. I wish we could learn to love our natural hairy bodies :) . I don't know about lasers. I would have to do more research.

I'm hairy, too. Well, I used to be. Is unwanted hair prevalent in the females of your family? I'm wondering if it's genetic for you.

I knew there was some hope for me, because my mom nor my baby brother are not as hairy as I used to be. :o

If it's not and merely caused by your past diet and maybe medication, then the raw diet will be enough. There's a bunch of hormones in meat products... that just don't belong in a female body I tell ya or any body for that matter.

After raw and doing some intense body cleansing like fasting, I'm hairless just like mom. :) I mean have some slight hair but very unnoticeable. You'd have to really be gawking at me.

I would not do laser, because it doesn't work for everyone. You'd have to find a extremely reputable specialist who will tell you upfront it will not work for you. Sometimes that's hard to find. There have even been reports that hair do grow back after some time, and you would need follow up laser removal. The impact that has on your body in the long term... has yet to surface. I wouldn't risk it.

I'd go for the wax on eyebrows. For other places, a Norelco razor. :D

it's all about your own morals.

i'd never get cosmetic surgery done even if i looked like a bamboon and as fat as a rhinasorous.

but hair... me.. i have very hairy legs right now because it really helps keep my legs warmer in the cold. and i'm not dating anyone to complain. they don't look sexy i'll tell you! ha! i think my armpits look sexy though. ;)

i wouldn't get permanent hair removal on eyebrows because our faces change so much and different looks with eyebrows can enhance our facial appearance.

but yes i have done an at home eletric permanent hair removal on my mid portain. just a few hairs that came in dark. if it's something i have to keep plucking and really do not want it there... hey i'm going to do it or just keep plucking. i forget what that thing is called. and i'm sure it's hormonal. i actualy need to get a few more done again and i don't have that gaget anymore.

ps

btw... i made the mistake of shaving some hairs. BIG mistake!!!!!! they grow out thicker and darker. it's why i electrified some hairs. maybe 5? i still have a few more to do because i did it again with new hairs that came out dark. i know it's my hormones..they've changed over the years and my pms is different than from when i was younger.
