is apple cider vinegar raw?
i thought i'd ask the experts.
oh, and also is plain vinegar raw?

hmmm i don't know. i know that i use apple cider vinegar when i'm not fasting and i also use balsamic vinegar. i think they are raw... but not 100% sure on that one.

apple cider vinegar isn't raw unless it's on the front of label. braggs and spectrum are the most popular brands for raw.

balsamic vinegar isn't raw. they boil the grapes. if there's a raw version i've never heard of it before.

i've heard of raw white vinegar but i've never seen it... unless all are???

i'd be interested in seeing a list of all raw vinegar types available if anyone has one.

i've got a question... does anyone know the shelf life of opened raw apple cider vinegar? is it suppose to be in fridge after opened? what's the life amount kept in room temp vs being kept in fridge?

well to answer my own question.. i googled for the answers.

i found different responses...

ACV is to be kept at room temp and in dark places... opened bottles can last up to a year.

unopened bottles 2-5 years from born date.

i should have rephrased my question.. sorry guys. i also meant to ask is apple cider vinegar a natural food? like no perservatives, artificials.. just natural, like an orange or something. OR it can be a blend of natural foods, thats fine too. i was wondering cuz im trying to stay to 'whole' foods, so if it is a mixture of whole foods thats fine. even if its not raw.

White vinegar is distilled and is not raw.

Some are raw. Some are not. It should be noted on the label. To be on the safe side, buy from a reputable seller.

Most store bought are pasteurized unfortunately. :o

ACV is awesome. A great many uses for it. :D Check out the testimonials over at EarthClinic.

ACV is as natural and as whole as apple juice. No preservatives - the vinegar preserves itself.
