Hi all

so i was lingering around in the woods the other day and ate my first frest nettle of spring

the picked it and within 3 seconds...after de-stinging it...had popped it in my mouth

the sensation, flavor, life force, qi ....whatever was so incredible. so electric

after all this time as "raw" it really put it in a new context for me

can anyone please talk on this and give me more ideas on their favorite ways to keep it "super fresh"

i will hopefully have a garden this spring...but let's talk live

I love grazing in the woods and fields. The living energy is amazing.I love red clovers and many other wild edibles. My fave is eating flowers.Pansies are out of this world delicious. And they just happen to be my fave flower anyway.I have been on a wild walk with Wildman Steve Brill and picked and learned lotsa stuff. Wild onions..yummy.Cattails edible.Fresh live energy.
For that now,at home,in my apartment,in winter,I grow sprouts, the most alive food you can have. And fresh juices, green mostly and love wheatgrass bliss.
To keep store greens fresh I use green bags. But these are far from wild.My body knows it.

That's wonderful!

I second the wheatgrass. I love chewing on wheatgrass blades, even. Yum, yum. It's that last day or so with some sunlight that really brings it to life, though!

Fermented foods are considered live foods too. There are many recipes for raw versions.
