This is SO AMAZING! It seems we are getting our very own raw foods based cafe here in Melbourne Australia. So if you live here, or are anywhere in Australia and travel here, check out the info below. I am so excited. I have been waiting for this to happen for AGES.

Aussies, spread the word!

There is a raw cafe opening soon in Melbourne, found these on another site, written by someone involved in the restaurant:

Thursday 29 January, 2009
"For all raw foodists in Melbourne finding it hard to eat out. No longer. A new cafe in Albert Park shall be opening in March. Totally organic, vegan and raw. 137 Victoria Ave Albert Park. I hope to see you all there. I studied raw food with David Jubb in New York and have learnt a lot so I hope you can all come and enjoy this wonderful food."

"We are having problems with our builder. But hopefully we will have an opening mid March. No later than the 16th. The cafe is called Le Cru. Which is 'In the Raw' in French. We will have two cooked meals if you have friends who aren’t sure about raw food yet. But the rest of the four page menu is all raw and organic. We will even have organic coffee with nut milk. Hope to see you all there soon."

Details are:

Bump.

Just bumping this up for anyone who is in Australia and lives in or is visiting Melbourne!

Le Cru has been open for about a month and the food is great. I particulary loved the beetroot ravioli. They do have some cooked dishes on the menu to cater for non raw friends and family but most of their menu is completely raw.

Also, vegans may want to ask about honey as some dishes and the nutmilks contain honey in them.
