Hey guys, I've been eating 75% raw for about two weeks now (I know I know, I'm a newb) but I've noticed that in the last week or so...since I started... I've been needing to sleep 9-10 hours each night. Which is VERY rare to me. Usually 7.5-8 hours and I'm good to go.

I'm also a little bit more tired during the day. I haven't been consuming any seeds or nuts, but I have that on my list to buy.

I also am planning on getting some maca and cacao. Maybe these will help?

Hi Mrs J....my sleep varies all the time. When Ifirst went raw and for quite a while,I was blissed out.Energy, needing very little sleep, could rarely sleep(to sleep in on a day off).I woke up ready to run. Now,I am in deeper detox mode,as I have been green juicing and I require a lot more sleep. It is a heavy sleep and I wake up groggy and circles under my eyes.I am not really tired in the day though.
Honor the process. It will ebb and flow.Go with it.Its all ok.

Maybe you are needing more rest to facilitate the detoxing? If your body is needing more rest..then listen to it. I would just keep going to bed earlier, if I were you....until your body lets you know otherwise. I wouldn't try to use any stimulants either(cacao)...but that's just me :)

I feel like such a lazy bum when I sleep in. My DH has to get up early (about 5:30) for work as he works from 7-5:30...but I work from home so I have a more lenient schedule. Sometimes I'm up with him, sometimes I don't have to wake up til after he's left.

The reason I think it may be detoxing too is because my skin is getting worse (read in my previous threads).

Ugh!

Email me and tell me what you actually do for work?

I'm actually needing less sleep but that is because I've been suffering from winter depression and eating raw seems to be taking that away from me thus the need for less sleep.
