My Mom sent me this recipe. I don't know where she got it, though. I don't care too much for Ranch dressing, but I might be willing to try the raw version one of these days.

I made this dressing per instructions and I was not too impressed with it being a ranch substitute. However, it was not bad. Personally, I think it should be called "Creamy Italian" or something like that. Because if you serve this to people who are expecting ranch, they will probably not be happy. If you call it "Creamy Italian" instead, they might accept it.
I would still like for someone to post a ranch recipe. I do like ranch dressing and my non-raw house guest request ranch dressing.

I like to take non-raw recipes and convert to raw. I found this recipe for ranch dressing online (the person who posted it says it's delicious):
1 cup light mayonnaise (not miracle whip)
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon chives
So, the RAW version could go something like this:
1 c. raw mayo (Rawveganmom posted a mayo recipe, see below
1 c. nutmilk (almond or cashew) (don't make TOO thin, leave a slightly creamier by adding less water) mixed with juice of half a lemon added and allowed to sit for an hour or two
everything else the same as above
Blend well.

=========
: 1 cup of almond milk
1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 cup of sunflower oil
Add milk & onion powder to blender & while it's blending slowly add the oil.
Chill it in the fridge and it will thicken up a bit.
Sometimes I add a little mustard or apple cider vinegar or lemon juice to the mix also.)

Yeah, that should be more like ranch dressing.

sounds good, but I LOVE Rawkinlocs Rawnch Salad Dressing, YUMMY, and it even has avocado in it, and I used to hate those. LOL

I found this one online a while back, but haven't tried it:
Ranch Dip or Dressing
From Raw Power by Stephin Arlin
1 1/2 C cashews or macadamia nuts
1/2 C water
3 T fresh lemon juice
1-2 cloves garlic
1-2 tsp Celtic Sea salt
1/2 tsp dried dill (or 1 very small sprig fresh)
1/2 tsp dried basil (or 2 leaves fresh)
1 stalk celery
Mix all ingredients in Vita-Mix or blender until smooth and creamy. Makes 2 cups. If making dressing, use an extra 1/2 to 1 cup of water.
