I have been having a hard time getting mine to make zuchinni pasta. I have one similar to the one for sale on this website. Any tips or suggestions?

Is the zucchini fresh? Maybe cut it in half?

I was going to buy one this week but then read some reviews saying how it's difficult to get the zuchinni to spiral - and also that it comes out mushy. I really really want some "noodles". :o

It's tricky, you just have to keep at it. I was trying to make some once and it just wasn't making noodles, so I fiddled with it and then it started making noodles.
If all else fails, you can use a julienne peeler; or a potato peeler to get wide noodles

Make sure your zucchini is little, firm zucchini. Cut it in 2 or 3 inch sections. Put a section centered in the spiralizer. Make sure the little tiny switch is flipped so that the needle teeth are UP. Spin the handle while pushing down gently.
At least, that's how mine works :p

hello there,
I do not know if this is your problem or not, but I have the one like on this site as well and I got frustrated at first because I could not make zucchini pasta either. Then I realized that I put it together wrong and now it works perfect. The problem I had is the white part in the middle, I had the teeth facing up v's facing down. Like I said I do not know if this is your problem, but I thought I would post-good luck :) Lori

Thanks for the advice everyone. I figured it was me and not the spiralizer :D Out of all of my raw food appliances that I purchased this was the one I was the most excited about. I'm an Italian girl and I need my pasta!
