hey :)

i've got a connection to get 45% off at kohls only at stores and not online. even if it's on sale.. i can get 45% off of the sale price. well... i am sadly disapointed they don't carry vita-mix. so i'm asking if anyone knows anything about a few of the blenders they carry although they may have more in stores... but if anyone knows first hand or word of mouth.. i would greatly appreciate it.
and i don't know if i should get a blender and/or a food processor??? i plan to make smoothies and puree food. maybe i'll juice something too.. i guess i'd need a seperate juicer then too?
lol
<<< novice i am.

i hear how great the vita-mix is.. but for 400-3000 dollars.... i can a lot of things with that amount of money. so.. any opnions please with what's on the kohls menu? :)

Kohls carries the Cuisinart Food Processor.........the best!

As far as blenders.....the Vitamix is the best. Maybe you could find one on ebay for cheaper.

Good luck!

It looks like Kohls has the Cuisanart duet which is a food processor and blender in one. That might be decent.

I have a non Cuisanart food processor and even though I don't use it that much, I'm burning it out on what I do use it on. I'm looking at buying a Cuisanart food processor sometime soon.

As far as blenders go, I spent 40-50 on 3 blenders in 3 years, each burned out. They weren't that great to begin with either. I then bought a Vitamix at Costco for around $300 and it is the greatest thing ever and has a 7 year warranty.

the plastic tabs on my duet FP that hold the cup to the base snapped off after not very long.

thanks for your replies. i appreciate it. :)

i still haven't made up my mind, but i think i'm just going to go ahead and get a blender and food processor from them. something to have or now at least.

Buy the most expense that you can afford with your discount. Then ebay or creigslist them for maybe 5-15% off retail. Put the profit towards a vitamixer

that's a great idea.

but i can't afford to buy any to sell unless it's cheapos. i want to take care of myself first. i only know i can get this discount for perhaps a couple days or a week. i'm not an employee for them, just an aquiantess i asked to get it for me and it's a special short deal. hopefully it'll come available again later and be given another favor.

but i will own a vitamix someday!!

I bought a kitchen aid blender there a year+ ago and have been very pleased for the price. I think it was $150 and I got it for around $80.

I have that one - before I got my Vita-Mix. I wouldn't give it a very good review. The blender lasted me about a year and it is not very powerful. I never used the food processor, but the food processor container is really tiny. You won't be able to make much in it. Just FYI - I wouldn't consider it a Vita-Mix replacement or a food processor replacement
