So I know you can water fast and still exercise. my question is if you do while water fasting are you getting any benefits from this aside from burning more calories and excelling weight loss? Will your body still tone and strengthen? It will just take away from the cleansing purpose of the fast since all the energy isnt used for cleansing it is now being used in the tearing down and rebuilding and toning of muscle right?

dont know . but i like the feeling of pushing it to my limits on some fast .
i did a 10 day water while working at medium duty outdoor manual labor / running / lifting / biking in the hot summer . and the whole thing was pushing myself every day . youd think you didnt have anything left but found you could push farther . its a great feeling of accomplishment to me after pushing it day after day , its confidence building . plus watching the fat burn off body every day is a high because you know working out is burning more . i liked the feling of trying to burn all fat off me because i know with it goes alot of pollution / toxin .

Your Body is an Amazing piece of Equipment built by The Master. It will Still Clean and Tone at the same time. It can do more than one thing at once and do it well.

Hi there.

Welcome to fasting. You'll love it. :)

I've done both water fasting with and without exercise for a duration of 14 days. Yes. You're right. You can definitely exercise while water fasting. It sounds like you have a good grasp of water fasting knowledge already.

As for weightloss, I lost the same amount of weight give or take a pound or two. Exercising while water fasting to speed up weightloss doesn't work. The body will not have it.

Exercising while fasting does take away from cleansing depending on how much and how intense you are exercising.

Your body is very intelligent. While it sense you are exercising, it will conserve whatever nutrition and energy it has for that exercise and your daily activities instead of using the nutrition and energy to clean house in your body.

You have a certain amount of nutrition and energy in your body. If most of it is used towards rebuilding your muscle, little will be used to cleaning out your body. It's not a very efficient way to water fast. Not only that, after your fast, you have a high chance of facing an enormous craving you won't be able to resist, because your body would have used up its reserves towards the exercise.

Your best bet is to water fast and rest as much as you possibly can. So your body can clean house. After the fast, your body will be so much more efficient at building muscle. You'll see better results when you exercise and strength train after a well rested water fast versus never having done a water fast or water fasting while exercising.

It's akin to running water through a pipe. You can keep using a lot of force (exercise) to get that water through the pipe, but it just won't, when the pipe is impacted. When the pipe is clean, the water could be running lightly, and it will still go through the pipe. Same with your body. :) Once it's clean, you'll see great results even with little exercise and strength training, because it's so much more efficient (clean) now. When your body's not clean, it doesn't care how much exercise or strength training you do, it'll be hard to budge as compared to a clean one.
My personal experience.
