Ahem, where is everyone getting their raw almonds? I know there was the big almond pasteurization debacle. I was left assuming there is no such thing as a really raw almond available in the U.S. now. I have been avoiding them as a result and oh how I miss this versatile, filling, nutritious nut!

You can still get raw almonds from California. I was told by the person I get them from that the law allows almond farms to sell 100lbs a day of untreated almonds directly to consumers, not for resale.
