I know and have heard of people successfully inducing their period by making a tea using parsley. I'd much rather juice it and add it to a smoothie. The taste of the tea makes me want to vomit and I cant choke down another one. Do you think putting it with a smoothie would work? OBGYN wants to put me on Provera or similar hormone pill to induce menstruation and that is nothing I want to do.

A person at a homeopathic pharmacy once told me that using cinnamon to make a tea helps to induce menstruation and I have used this method successfully before myself. I just take a teaspoon of powdered cinnamon and put in hot water. You can add some sweetener if you wish but I like it plain.

Can I ask why you are trying to induce menstruation? Lots of fertility methods are dependent on what you are trying to accomplish. Susun Weed has some fantastic info, too.

u dont need period so u shouldnt induce it.
I also need to induce my period a few days before its due this month... Big event, cant afford to be bloated or cranky.... What do u think the best wya to do it is - im not on birth control, and im not pregnant, and hopefully i wouldnt have gotten a late period, though i will be travelling during that period, and that does tend to delay menstruation... Any ideas?

Parsley is a diuretic. If you take a lot of it, you'll pee a lot. But I've never heard of it for inducing a period.
