View Full Version : Weird connection issues - Verizon Fios?

I know this may not be able to answered here but I'm not sure how else I'd ask. I don't have trouble connecting to the rawfoodtalk.com website or forums anywhere except at home. I have verizon fios. Basically I get a timeout like the website isn't up but if I switch my connection, it works fine? So its not like the website is down or anything and I can connect to anything else except rawfoodtalk.com. Is there a reason that would be happening?

I don't have Fios, but I do have Verizon and I once had a similar issue. The problem had to do with the lease ont the line. For some reason they had me set to something like a 10 or 15 minute lease on the line. After that, it would time out and I couldn't get online without rebooting my system and shutting rebooting the box.

I had to call them to get it fixed. They had me change some sort of setting to release something or other. It worked after that.

This may not be your problem, but I would start with calling Verizon.

I agree, I would call the company. You are paying for something that you are not recieving properly. Hope All works out.

I've never had anything occur that only affected one website. Its only this website that is the issue so I wasn't sure if there was something like 'verizon fios customers IPs are blocked' or anything. I can inquire with verizon why a single website wouldn't work while everything else does but I thought they might look at me funny :)
