I'm very glad to have found you all here!

I began doing some Kundalini DVDs about one and a half months ago. The fitness benefits have been good and they are always a pleasure, never a hassle. One unexpected result..I was caught totally by surprise was the way that the yoga practice migrated my eating habits. The transition from a very ordinary diet (some sushi, plenty of dairy, whole grains) to raw has been an instinctive impulse.

I only want and wanted raw produce and after reading a few books I thought I was going to have to get a dehydrator and make some pretty complicated stuff to stay healthy. I'm glad that I came across RFT, and received some further enlightenment on the subject! It can be a lot simpler!

I feel pretty good, a few days raw and I had a weird hives thing on my wrists, some headachyness. Typical stuffs. Ready to go forward.

Main goal:
I have some emotional detoxing to do along with the physical. Would like to lose a lot of inner bitchiness.

Thanks again, I feel like I know you all already from reading all the great postings, so i felt it now is time to unlurk.

You made me laugh quite a bit with your sideways jokes. Love it. I'll be in Austin tomorrow! I'm flying out there for work -- great place for raw food. Good weather, good markets, and when you feel like getting out of the DVDs and into a room, lots of good yoga joints. :)

Anyways, welcome! I hope you are able to get rid of whatever amount of inner bitchiness suits your tastes. ;)

Welcome! You DO look like a famous Hollywood movie star and the name to match it!

Do you have Alissa's book and DVDs? THAT is where you will learn a lot. Over 300 recipes! It's packed with info. It's the best out there I think...

How cool! I find that raw and kundalini go hand in hand -- but I went the other way around - found raw first, then got pulled into kundalini.

Best to you in your journey!

What is Kundalini Yoga? I've never heard of it before.

Thank you so much for the compliments! You are so nice. I hope in 30 days I can post an after in which I glitter and radiate like all of you.

Kundalini is a lesser known form of yoga. It was introduced in the US in 1969, a relative late comer.

I love it because it is so joyful and I feel my face relaxing into a smile as I do it, which has not been the case for me with other forms, which seem more serious (earnest) and athletic. Kundalini (for me) is more like play, and I love the chanting. LOVE.

I like Maya Fiennes DVD, and Ana Brett and Ravi Singh's DVDs are all I could ever ask for. so yeah. Youtube some Ana Brett and see if is your flavor.

I totally cosign that Kundalini and raw are synchronous. Oh definitely.

You're absolutely right. There is nothing wrong with a little inner bitch. Every woman should have a little tabasco.

I'm going to try to reduce her down to that. My inner bitch needs to wear a smaller pants size.
