Maca reminds me distinctly of malt...except I like it? I never liked malt flavoring...
Raw Cacao tastes like unsweetened chocolate to me. It reminds me distinctly of baking chocolate actually (in it's unsweetened form). But not as acidic (if that makes sense).
I haven't had number 3 :p I'm very curious to see how others describe these items! :)

Maca - Earth-like. Like bark or tree fiber ground up.
Raw Cacao - chocolate
Don't know the third one...

maca tastes like anxiety to me....wrong herb for my system
I am glad you posted this because i wanted to get back to you specifically about the swpp and doing more than smoothies
last night I used is as a base to make pate.
first i just blended it with a zucchini just to see what would happen and it got kind of doughy
then i blended it with celery, parsley, cayenne, cumin, lemon. It was really tasty but i added water which i probably didn't need to do
but anyway....it gave me inspiration to make dips and stuff without all of the oils and fats

bee pollen is sweet - it's tasty blended into smoothies. I also like cutting up a banana and then sprinkling bee pollen on top. Sometimes I add some nuts or seeds too. yum!

maca-don't like the taste alone, can't describe it. works well with cacao and other flavors.
cacao-bitter dark chocolate that tastes good with sweetener, fruit, etc.
Sun warrior brown rice protein-the natural (no additives) tastes like a mild rice milk.
bee pollen-doesn't have too much flavor, but normally had it mixed with other flavors.

I have to admit. I think bee pollen flavor totally depends on where you get it. The stuff I have makes me want to gag (sorry to be so vulgar). But I am always up for trying it again. It would have to be on the recommendation from someone that eats a similar raw diet though because I am a little leary to take recommendations from just anyone anymore. I have had it backfire! A lot of people that fast (from what I have read) will use bee pollen to give them that "chewing" feeling during their fast.

Maca = peanut butter
Cacao = chocolate
Brown rice powder = well, I use a different brand of tocotrienals (Natural Zing), if that is what this is and mixed with water it tastes like a lightly sweet rice drink.
Hope that helps!
p.s. I use lucuma powder in chocolate (cacao) shakes to make them taste like chocolate malts.

Maca tastes like a mixture of peanut butter and malt to me, so I dont think it's misleading.
Cacao, like unsweetened dark chocolate.
Not had the 3rd.

MrsJ,
i just ordered my first batch of Maca....but i was told that it has little taste and to mix it into smoothies
raw caco---all the above is true. i frind mine up in a coffee grinder (nibs) and mix it into frech Oj---it is YUMMY. there are chunks of caco in it so you have to chew a bit, but i have that every monrning.
the last one i have never tried. i am not hawking anything here, but most ebay sellers will explain what stuff tastes like too, ifg you ask. i asked about hte taste of Maca before i bought it. and also (everyone will laugh) wheatgrass, i had no idea. its all new!!

I will have to try this out - I have not purchased bee pollen yet.
I did however purchase maca (from naturalzing) and am loving the taste of it in my smoothies - I have not tasted it by it itself but then again most of the things I purchase I eat in conjunction with something else. To me it taste like a nutty malty kind of flavor. Maybe it is different tasting depending on the brands?? I made a banana, young coconut, maca smoothie this morning and it was very enjoyable.
The other two I have not yet tried.
