I know the trays can be removed to dehydrate bigger stuff in the Excalibur, but how is this handled with the Good4U? What is the height between trays? Is there a mini cover that can be snapped on to cover the gap from the missing tray?

hello,
i have a good4u and i still haven't figured out how to put latger items in with out taking the trays out. there is about a 1/2-1 in space in between the trays. that would be nice if there would be a cover. but i don't know if they even exist. but other than the tray thing i like it.

My understanding is, when you take the tray out, you need to put something across the front such as a towel.

I bought one from Alissa's site before Christmas. It is my understanding that they will send some blank trays that you can put in place. I was told the trays were not made yet and would shipped after the first of the year. Feb 23??? I gueuss they didn't say what year.

Looking forward to uncooking this weekend!! Blanks will be shipped once they get them. I called evolution health, and they knocked $15.00 off the price (so-called monthly special!) and charged no shipping fees! It arrived three days later - I am thrilled!!
Trip to BB&B for a few more kitchen gizmos on my list on Saturday!! Almost totally stocked raw prep kitchen! Yaaa!

I've heard that some roll up a dishtowel and place it in the open space. I haven't made anything yet that requires open trays, but I'm sure it would work.
Regardless, I've been extremely happy with the Good4U. And I can't stress this enough - spend the money for the 10-tray. I bought the 6-tray and had to upgrade. Thankfully I had a neighbor willing to take the 6-tray off of my hands. You'll need the space, even if you think you won't.

I was thinking of buying the Good4u at evolution health but I only need the 6 tray and it doesn't have a timer. Will I need a timer? Not sure.
