Hey I have a question Saturday I will be finishing a 21 day fast of green smoothies and juicing. I have never fasted before this so how do I break it and what do I start eating? Thanks Lori.

well first of all... it's a very good idea to do research on breaking your fast well in advance of doing it.

i would read lots of threads here and see how everyone has broken their fasts, read some books as well... as breaking a fast is really a personal choice.

but you want to take at least a week to break your fast.

adding in soft fruits in the first days... green smoothies which are watered down... and then slowly going back to more raw (simple) foods. i like to eat mono when i'm breaking my fast to be as gentle on the digestion as possible.
