so i have never used this forum as a place to really get into the weight loss thing though i know a lot of people here have weight loss goals

My higher principle has always said quality and health first...weight loss as a positive outcome...........but I WANT TO LOSE THIS WEIGHT

I would like to start a thread similar to the other "goal" threads where we can talk about, keep focus and support each other in healthy and meaningful weight loss.

I am ready to come out of the closet! Take this issue out of my neurotic mind and get it out in front of me as a healthy and achievable goal and see RESULTS!

any buddies????

I am down with that- I really could use a buddy right now. I need someone local I can call when I am ready to eat bread and have them talk me down=) and maybe grab a smoothie with sometimes. anyone in seattle area?

and keeping track of pounds lost here would be a great motivator as well- I have 40-50 more to go.

How should we start?
I am not in the Seattle area.

yea yea yea!!!!

ok here is my scoop:

I am 35 y.o. 5'5'' and currently at 135.5lbs

I am going by the weight i got last week at my trainer's gym. She recently asked me my ideal weight and i said 118. She says i could be down around 110 but I think that would be pretty damn thin.

I exercise regularly but obviously not enough, have been eating raw for a long time but my problem is that i consistently overeat....I swear if I were eating a SAD diet I could be 3oolbs!

So, I am flying to out to a conference 3/6. two weeks from now. I am going to put my first 2 week goals out:

NO NUTS, NO BANANAS, NO DATES
HIKE AT LEAST 3 TIMES (BESIDES MY REGULAR EXERCISE PLAN)
MORNING AND EVENING MEDITATION AND STRETCHING
WEIGH IN AT 130 BEFORE I LEAVE AND WEAR MY AWESOME NEW DRESS ON THE TRIP:D

Let's do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

debilana, I don't know if I'd be much use at talking you down, but I'm local and a good listener. We have a lot in common....I want to shed 40-50lbs, too. :)

green jeanie, What a great idea! It is time to get serious.

I'm all raw, but eat too much, haven't shed any pounds in months. Spring is coming and I want to shake things up. I'm changing the program starting tomorrow. Juice, Smoothies, an occasional piece of fruit and a small amount of seeds.

ok, I have problems keeping up on posting, but I will try and do this. No more crap food, a gs and salad everyday. go go raw! New swimsuits FTW!

deb, I'm 5'5". The virus making the rounds is nasty. My husband had it for weeks. You'll be over it soon. :)

My problem is overeating at night. Especially on days that I eat light in the morning and afternoon. Like today. I did some serious yard work, washed my car, washed the dog. I was very pleased with myself. I had a potent green smoothie and was feelling good! Then I munched off and on for the next two hours. I needed to pry my butt out of the kitchen! The good news...I finished all the raw treats and sweets. There is nothing left to munch on and I'm not making any more.

I need to remind myself several times a day....only 15lbs to go and I will be able to wear my wedding ring again.

I often visit the site for food encouragement but this thread really caught my eye because being only 5'3 and 205 lbs.(two weeks ago) I really started going RAW to loose weight, with the side affect of FEELING marvelous (sp?) of course. Anywho I have released 5 pounds in 2 weeks and the long road ahead didnt seem so long after all, almost as if it just seems to melt off. Also trying to exercise 30 min a day but have been more successful at going RAW. Anyway I'm glad to join the group and thank all of you for putting it out there :D

i would love to release some more weight. life has been very stressful and although i really want to kick it up and do another fast... my body keeps asking for food so i've been gifting it green smoothies.

i'm not sure if i have been releasing weight cause i stopped weighing myself but i'd like to release another 30 pounds approx. so really what i do or don't weight doesn't really matter.

so... i'm in!!!

okay... question for everyone...

how much water do you drink a day?

i never believed in the whole... drink more water thing... but honestly, when i fast and i kick up the water to 4 litres a day... i release more weight.

i need to listen to myself and kick up my water intake!

welcome clover!

i really am loving the idea of "coming out of the closet".....maybe we should call it "coming out of the kitchen"!!!!!!!

i know for me food takes on a bigger role in my head...and mouth.... if I am not connecting in other satisfying ways in my life

I am focusing on remembering how great I feel when i am lighter. Remember our goals are not for torture they are for wholesomeness and the life of health ahead of us!!

So i am celebrating for all of us in anticipation.....

dare we say tomorrow DAY 2???

Hi aleesha..

sweet!!! i love your energy on this site so welcome, welcome! (I am in Washington state). My friends told me today about some awesome outdoor salt water swimming pool in vancouver....been there???

when I am at work I drink at least a gallon of water because we get such great spring water delivered. At home i tend to be a little slower because i don't love the flavor of our well water/ filter....

how much exercise do you do when you are fasting????

Aleesha Sattva

how much exercise do you do when you are fasting????

i did yoga twice a week. i found a new studio on friday and i'll be doing yoga 5 times a week starting tomorrow.

other than that... i love rebounding (http://www.timelessspirit.com/SEPT08/review2.shtml) so i do that but not much when i fast cause it's hard to rebound when your bladder is always so full of fluids LOL

and thanks for welcoming me to your thread ;)

oooh i have specific questions about rebounding...i have read and heard about it but have not talked to anyone who does it to find out how they actually feel.

for me it is actually "coming out of the car!!!" I eat in the car on the way home from work sometime ....it is always raw i am always having to clean little bell pepper seeds off of my seat......but it still bugs me.....

out of the car and onto the bike!!

i start bikram again on tuesdays and have set up my march so i can go every tues/saturday :D

Yes water makes a big difference, I always notice that i lose weight when i drink more water and I stay full for most of the day too which stops me from snacking.
Its also tough when preparing food for the family and not snacking on that food again when drinking lots of water during the day and while preparing meals for everyone helps to stop that bad habit...
So day 2 tomorrow I'm keeping my water bottle with me at all times and refill it many times!

morning day 2ers!

just got done with the trainer and i am off to spin class!

this is THE hardest bump in my metabolism....it is the place where i can eat whatever i want and not gain but losing is equally stubborn

everyday on here i am going to remind myself that losing weight is not a mental punishment i am putting myself through, it is not something to get neurotic about...it is just a goal that can be accomplished that will bring me strength and wellness

I read recently somewhere that the word "diet" is actually the greek word for "directing one's own life"

empowerment!!

Okay, I'm in too. My biggest issue is eating only RAW. If I could stick to that I think I might actually get rid of the weight. (I need to loose over 100 lbs.!) I definitely need to kick up my water intake. I do fine during the week at work, but I just realized that I didn't have a single glass of water all weekend at home

The past week or two I've been exercising just about every day at the gym, so yea for that!!

Saving up for a rebounder, almost got one, but got a Vita Mix instead :)

Count me in as well, I need all the support I can get! I first read Aliss'a book at the end of November, tried going raw over the holidays (yeah that worked real well) and now I have spent Jan & Feb finding out how emotionally addicted I truly am to cooked food. I am 5'8" and weigh 384 pounds. I can barely breathe walking from the car into my office. I would like to get down to 140 and be incredibly healthy physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually! This is my first day at being 100% raw and I am hanging in there. I had banana papaya pudding for breakfast and a spinich salad with mushrooms, tomato and avacado for lunch and about 2 liters of water so far. Everybody around me is saying you can't be 100% raw all the time, but I know in my heart this is the right course for me. Aleesha, I have a question for you.....BTW your pictures have motivated me immensely......since I see you are the queen of fasting ;), I was wondering if you started all this with fasting first, before doing the raw food?

I decided to do a water fast and enema today. In fact, I really like the idea of doing that one day every week. I did the same last week and it just seems to start the week off on the right foot.

So far, I've had 56ish oz. of water and the water of 1 1/2 young Thai coconuts. This morning I did 1 hr. 15 min. of Walk-Away-The-Pounds type indoor walking and upper body weight lifting while watching tv.

I;m having a pretty good day...didn't get to spin because they were out of bikes...didn't have the drive to do my own cardio. I had already worked out and showered so i just came back to work

I read anne wigmore's book awhile back and her basic diet breaks down as:

2 salads
2 fruits
2 fats

so that's me (plus protein powder...) until further notice.....it is funny because since I hover between 135-140 and am height weight proportioned

i never really think that I am 20 lbs over weight...but the truth is.....I am 20 lbs over weight!!!!

WOW! Amazing response levels to this thread. I was only offline for less than a day and I had some catching up to do. :)

GJ, love the phrases, "coming out of the kitchen" and "directing one's own life". That about sums it up for me.

Aleesha, I only consume 1 quart of water and 1 quart of herb tea a day, plus water in a green smoothie. But if you say water is key, I'm upping the water intake.

So far today, I've only had time for a glass of celery-cucumber-pear juice juice, but then I've been busy. Evening (my tough time) is almost here. I have to go make a green smoothie RIGHT NOW, then....

GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!!

Aleesha,in response to your water question I drink about 64 oz. a day because 1. when i do my cardio/strength training (love Jillian M) i can easily down 32 deliciously :p, 2. it completely clarifies my thinking, 3. it totally satisfies my hunger especially when i crave SAD, 4. i also think it helps in the cleansing process and 5. I LOVE THE TASTE of it. I dont buy into the 8-8oz glasses so i drink when im thirsty.

yesterday I water fasted during the day. I went to yoga before and after work - usually I just go before, but I felt extra motivated to go again in the afternoon. When I got home I felt like I needed some nourishment so I had two bananas, one date & one pear.

I went to yoga every day last week except for Sunday. I'm going to do the same again this week. I'm already starting to see some changes in my body - more toning and increased flexibility!

Today I'm juicing - right now I'm having carrot, apple, beet & ginger; and then later I'm going to have carrot, orange, beet & ginger. I'm also going to drink as much water as I can.

I've decided not to weigh myself every day (which is what I normally do). I love seeing the scale numbers drop, but I get so discouraged when I plateau or when I have a slight increase from day to day. So I'm going to try focusing on how my body looks and feels rather than the weight. At least for this first week...then maybe I'll check it again.

Yesterday's water fast was incredible. I was left feeling so energetic and light. This morning I woke up feeling like I needed to stick with only water, juice and smoothies. So far I've had a spinach/OJ/banana green smoothie, a big glass of cucumber/celery/pear/ginger juice and right now I'm chew-juicing an orange.

For exercise I did an hour of indoor walking and step aerobics plus 15 min. of A.M. yoga.

watched dozens of bald eagles all day long as they get ready to begin nesting

had a great breakfast of zuchinni pasta with cilantro pesto...and big surprise... i didn't think about food at all out there.....

here's to a great day and a great body

please remember... when you fast on water only you need to break your fast gently... with some nice fresh juices before jumping into green smoothies. water fasting puts your digestion to sleep... whereas juice fasting rests your digestion... and green smoothie feasting cleans your digestive tract (all that fibre)...

so when we do just water, we need to break it gently. ;)

i'm doing yoga pretty much every day as well. started this week!!!

and i'm not weighing myself at ALL during this fast. so i'll weigh myself in july. i find that every time i plateau... i don't fast as well. i get all focused on weight instead of allowing this moment to simply unfold as it should.

so... no more weighing myself!!!

I'm horrible at keep up with posting! (sort of like staying in touch with old friends :o)

But, I've been better at staying raw for most of the day. I realize now that half the time I eat cooked food I don't even realize it, and it's done before I can stop it. I'm going to try writing down my food intake in a food journal. This way I actually have to face it.

Been good with excercise. Did a kickboxing class on Sunday and have barely been able to walk, stand, sit (you know the basics) since then, but still trying to exercise.

Rawchic, I agree, I have to limit myself to weighing in only once per week. Otherwise I get much too frustrated.

That's all for now!

Today is a new day!

Yesterday I did some massive binge eating in the afternoon. It was all raw, of course, but I ate an entire batch of coconut balls  Nothing to fret over today though, what's done is done. Time to move on!

So far today I've had lots of water and 2 bananas. Not sure if I'll eat anything else later or maybe just make some juice. I had planned to do all water to get rid of the heavy feeling from yesterday but after a series of enemas this morning that was remedied and I felt much lighter.

For exercise I did 30 min. of step aerobics and 30 min. of light walking on the treadmill.

Good advice on breaking a water fast, Aleesha. I have to say, I felt HORRIBLE after breaking mine with a green smoothie. Won't be doing that again. Live and learn!

Green jeanie- where are seeing the eagles out here? Theres one I see on my way to work in the Kenmore area, and sometimes I see them around , but dozens? I love birding and I am so wanting to see this!

Checking in- the last 2 days have been awesome for me. Working out- got a MP3 player finally, so I am not so bored at the gym. Time flies when I am rockin out! Still sick, but cravings are under control and I have not had any wheat or cheese in 2 days- yeh, I been havin some issues=)

I figured since I spent 90 bucks on a colonic Monday, I better shape up- and why have a colonic and then go eat crap anyway!

Interestingly, the morning after my colonic, I woke up to a rosacia pizza face gone crazy. I mean, its been bad, but I was SO broken out and red. UGH! Today was a bit better, but still ...gah, I so want my skin to look liek someone who eats better than most of AMerica:mad: I have had some SAD food but I still have GS or juice most every day- its not like I left raw food completly .

Anyway, back to the gym tonight! I also have a quart of cacoa/hemp/berry/banana/vitamineral green/smoothie in the fridge, for noshing:D

when i was in seattle i saw one...once....at the park north of golden gardens here they are everywhere

yesterday we were out on samish island...not exactly sure where...it was really amazing as they were flying so low and close to us. if you are into birds this is a great place to see herons.

once out on orcas island i came out of meditating in the woods and was on my bicycle and passed literally 12 of them sitting up all tight and together in 2 trees they were so majestic and HUGE.

Hi, LadyRaw! :D
I'm here, too, been only reading, but decided to post again...I was 398 lbs, got down to 333, broke raw back & forth, am now somewehre around 350 (I'm only 5'5, though...) I also have numerous health issues, but I've decided to ignore them & just do it! (Albeit gently, or the FM makes it difficult to move the next day when I overdo it!)

So what are you doing for exercise? For me, I find that making myself move & be on my feet as much as possible during the day is one major key to being able to stay raw! THEN I can muster the strength to prepare raw foods, to clean up so I can prepare more the next day, etc...also, the more I move, the better I feel, & the better I feel, the more I want raw food!! I even actually crave it now! Lol! (That took awhile!)

Also, when you have more weight to lose, fasting can be helpful, but you don't actually get to releasing the fat cells until about the 3rd day...so it needs to be longer than that to have long-term weight-loss benefits.

I heard recently of someone who shed over 100 lbs with alternating 10 days fasting with 10 days total raw, & they avoided many of the common fasting pitfalls by doing it that way. (Hair loss, messed up metabolism, etc.) I've been wanting to try this, but am getting back to 100% raw for awhile first.

Much as I learn lots here from those who carry less excess weight, there are things that those of us with more weight to shed experience that can help each other with our particular issues, so I wanted to let you know I'm here, too!
We CAN do this, it'll just take us a wee bit longer!
So let's hold each other accountable, k? I need that, too, & the support that comes with sharing the truth of our struggles, & the things we're working on~

~Anastazia~

P.S. The biggest benefit to fasting, for me (aside from spiritually) has been having to face & deal with my food issues, & I personally find fasting one of the most effective ways to conquer them...as long as I am crystal clear, with a plan in place, to break it properly, & at a pre-determined time, rather than in the moment of cravings...the physical hunger leaves within 2 or 3 days of starting, but the CRAVINGS & DESIRE TO CHEW takes longer to go!!!

If you break a fast from a place of giving in to temptation, it's much harder to have self-control, & so often the benefits get rapidly undone! But when you set a time ahead of time, & press through the struggles, it can be amazingly empowerring, helping you get the message to your body & brain that you CAN & WILL (as an act of the will, rather than being controlled by food!) be in charge of what you put in your body!!
{Sorry, didn't mean to write a book here!}
{& I love this thread!}

Count me in as well, I need all the support I can get! Also, when you have more weight to lose, fasting can be helpful, but you don't actually get to releasing the fat cells until about the 3rd day...so it needs to be longer than that to have long-term weight-loss benefits.

~Anastazia~

{Sorry, didn't mean to write a book here!}
{& I love this thread!}

i so agree with everything you shared except the part about fat cells not being released until day 3. i have this fancy smancy scale that tells me my water %, fat % etc and when i fast (except this time) i use it to keep track of what's going on with my body. my fat % goes down while my water % goes up and my weight goes down!

so... in my experience... we begin to use up our fat cells right away.

here's my experience: http://aleeshasrawlife.blogspot.com/2008/12/measurements-during-post-christmas-fast.html

you can see how my fat % changed... ;)

and... i just want you to know i started off at 300 pounds (5'4")... so eating raw can and will make a huge difference for ya. (((hugs)))

Hi everyone,
I haven't been doing terribly well here. I have binge eating disorder and I am trying my damnedest to beat it. I went on a juice and then water fast at the beginning of the week. Well, i broke it terribly and ended up buying and eating 25 dollars worth of SAD un-vegan candy (that's what my binges usually consist of). I got to thinking...the last time I had a fast (back in May or June), I ended up binging on SAD so badly I gained 35 pounds in just a few months. Now I'm afraid of fasting at all...so...bah, I am so discouraged.

Anastazia, your words are so inspiring, as are yours, Aleesha. Thank you!

Wow! Thanks for the encouragement Anastazia, and it would be great to be accountable to one another! Monday I was so excited and did so well at work, then pitfall dinner happened at a friend's house that night and it has been a struggle all week. There are days the tears flow like a river because I can't seem to follow raw and other days I am on top of the world and do great. I would prefer to do the yo-yo ride at the local carnival, and not with my eating. This all seems so simple and yet it is the hardest struggle I have encountered and I have walked through some really tough stuff!!! To answer your question on exercise, that would consist of a desk job all day with minimal getting up and no energy after work. Yes this is a HUGE problem. Most days it feels like I can barely breathe

hi everyone...
stay positive. i just want to say that the one thing...and only thing.... that has truly helped me with negative behavior addictions is meditation. real meditation...deep intentional and instructed meditation...not just mental battles of the mind....

it is emotional and painful when we are fighting ourselves and the truth of positive life....but we need a bigger context for our lives before that will stop.

imho ;)

anyway...i can not figure out what is making me dehydrated!!! at least 12-14 glasses of h2o a day and i am still burning up!! ???

anyway i finished yesterday great....kept it light to tomatoes and cabbage and felt good this morning for that

came in with my packed lunch of a kale and cabbage salad and broccoli for my afternoon snack!

wish you all luck.....my approach again is stay happy, and have small and frequent food....and small and frequent exercise

Ok so the past few days have been ok but not the best. I always start my mornings right.. lunch goes as planned.. dinner goes as planned and then BAM! The man wants dessert !?!? I lose it all... Its late and I ate way too much dessert.. food I didn't even want because all it usually consists of is dates and nuts/nut butter. I always feel gross after.
I need to figure out a plan for that to change..... any ideas ???

The last few days I have come up with a list. A list that gives me things to do to avoid the kitchen !
-Clean (anywhere and anything)
-Organize (closets/bathrooms/garage)
-Give myself pedicure/manicure/facial
-Stay in gym longer (even if I'm just laying there/not working out hard - whatever passes the time)
-Read (not recipes)
-Style my hair (try different tools/styles)
-Take a bath
-Have a nap
-Do laundry - iron
-Look up/research stuff I enjoy online
-Go for a walk
-Call a friend/family

All of these things will make me feel way better than being in the kitchen and eating when I'm not hungry.
This list could still be longer... any other ideas ???

The last few days I have done really well when making the man his lunch or snacks. I always have a large glass with lemon water beside me so whenever I get the urge to pick at the food I take a sip of water !
This has been hard to do in the evenings though.....hmmmm.... need a plan...

I agree with you rawchic I as well am not going to weigh myself everyday but maybe once a week.

Ya people could for sure add these to their list.
I don't meditate and find it difficult to sit down and .. well... not do anything to be honest. Yes I know people do it and to them they are doing something. That's great for them but it doesn't work for me.
Going for a walk is a good idea, even if its just up the street a bit and then back down for 10min or so...

Thanks for your ideas ! :)

Yesterday was a great day! It was my 60 days raw mark plus it just happened to be the day I hit 20 lbs. released. :::happy dance::: I also had numerous people comment on my weight loss at work too whereas they hadn't noticed before.

I didn't get any official exercise in (I had such a horrible headache when I got home all I wanted to do was sleep) but I did walk a lot at work. Food-wise I had a spinach/OJ/banana green smoothie for breakfast, a layered fruit salad and tomato/mushroom/basil/EVOO salad for lunch and another small tomato/mushroom/basil/EVOO salad for dinner. I have to do better about drinking water today though. My headache last night was from dehydration and I really don't want to repeat that again today.

it's friday morning!!

and since I last weighed myself when starting this thread I have "released"

*********7********** lbs!!!:D:D:D
remember i had set 130 as my goal weight for NEXT friday but today I weighed at 131.5 (to be exact heheee)

i am so psyched and shocked because i was seriously at one of my super stubborn plateau weights so it is great to see some change

i even woke up and tried on those size 4 pants that i use as my butt barometer...they were as roomy as they were last spring after my master cleanse!!

so I've got about 15lbs to go but today is so encouraging and i really thank everyone for getting on her and contributing i KNOW that this thread is going to help me stay focused and not yo-yo

so for all of you who are wondering what i did differently this week.

I hiked and got outside with friends.
took in love and nourishment from my friends and community
upped my protein A LOT using sun warrior protein power
ate all of my protein and fat during the day and only veggies at night
decreased my fruit and nut intake
ate raw brownies on the weekend!!! that i made for a friend
did 2 extra gym sessions after work for just 20 minutes each

thanks again everyone....let's keep on it!!!

First, thanks, Aleesha! That's definately something I don't mind being wrong about! I did a lot of reading on fasting, as well as a lot of water fasting many years ago, but I personally believe experience is the best revealer of truth in many things!
& thanks for the encouragement, it's time to get back on track 100%, & fasting always gives me a jump-start, & it's great to see how it's benefitted you!

& Hi, again, Lady raw...:)
...you're funny! & one of my goals is to be able to ride the carnival rides with my daughter! Now I'll think of you when I think of that! Haha!

What I've learned is that the only way to truly increase energy is to begin moving a little more each day....raw helps lots, but until you re-build your endurance/fitness levels, the 'feeling better' raw brings is almost held at bay by our inactivity...planning ahead with raw food, always having more with you than you think you'll need, in case you get delayed, & drinking plenty of water all make a difference, too...

...so maybe set some mini goals for yourself....
...5 minutes walking at a time, a few times a day is how I usually start getting back to moving...we have a treadmill now, & I could only do 5 minutes at a time when i started on it, & that got me sweating!
Now I can handle ten, most days, but when I'm consistant, doing it daily, I can even go longer...but I just go as long as I can at one time, then stop until I can catch my breath, then go again...
...maybe on your coffee break you could do 5 minutes (halls at work? Stairs?) & then at lunch, do 5 at the start, before you eat, & 5 after you eat, before getting back to work...?
If you need to communicate with someone in the office, go see 'em, rather than e-mail or phone...?
Get up & go to the water fountain walking as fast as you can more often???

Just some ideas, I'm a stay-at-home mama, so it's a little removed from my current way of life, Lol!

I do know that the more raw I eat, the better I feel, & the less tempted I am to 'undo the benefits' with junk! (& the more raw I eat, the more my emotions are balanced!)
Looking forward to sharing this journey with you....how did your week go overall? & do you find weekends harder, or easier?

I definately know that breathless, hard-to-make-yourself-get-up-&-move-feeling! But I promise it imporves quickly, once you just make up your mind to start moving more each day!!!

this is something i was doing when i was at my heaviest and just started raw.

i would walk or march on the spot while i watched the commercials on tv. eventually i built up to the point where i could walk during the show as well. but i started with just the commercials.

didn't need any fancy equipment... just my feet and a few square feet of floor. i would walk 3 paces forward and then 3 back. over and over again. :)

you can also hold onto the back of a chair if you have trouble with balance!

off to yoga... i am i am i am

I am having a great week!

4 days straight at the gym- just an hr light cardio, no weights- I have had a terrible cough for weeks , so easy does it. Today I am resting and tommorrow I am back, and starting lifting again. My goal is 5 days a week gym unless I spend a day doing physical work like gardening or playing outside. After it warms up I will prolly drop that to 3 or 4 days, because I would rather be outside when I can=)

Eating is going well. I made a fab superfood/fruit/chocolate smoothie that I am drinking right now. I have not been eating late at night at all. All raw except for some Manna bread. NO cravings!

I have been stretching and doing a few work outs here and there at home but its been pretty lazy workouts lol...
My eating habits have been really good!
Every morning with my breakfast drinks.. lunch well... there hasnt been enough time in my day for lunch but dinner has been smoothies. Haven't had much nuts/seeds. Really trying hard to cut the fats out except for coconut which I have a little in my smoothies.
I'm feeling nice and lighter.. haven't weighed myself and not going to start until I get the serious workouts started!

Anusara yoga. I am truly loving it!!! My teacher goes on vacation next week for two weeks... it'll be weird without yoga for two weeks but I know how much I'll love having it back again when she returns!

I'll do some at home but with my dogs... it's a bit hard to yoga here. Between the dog hair sticking to the mat and them trying to 'assist' me with my poses... let's just say down dog is NOT meant to be done with you saying "down dog" throughout!

I've been eating well (all raw) and exercising just about everyday. I've been incorporating some Primal Nature Play too which is just mind blowing. DH went out and bought me a 1.5 in. X 10 ft. rope last night. Unfortunately, he got a plastic one instead of natural fiber so it's not very heavy. I'm going to send him back for a natural fiber one later this week. I really, REALLY want to do the slosh pipe. That looks like so much fun.

Can I jump in here? I have struggled with my weight from the time I turned 18, well next week I turn 39 and I have got to get this off. I think a spot to check in will be good. I am going to only weigh myself once a week (formerly obsessive behavior) on Monday so I have incentive to "behave" over the weekend. I will let you all know where I'm officially starting on Monday (My CW below is off, and I haven't updated it). I have been walking for about 30 minutes most mornings (as long as it isn't raining out) and been trying to find time to go out and work on the piece of property we bought (that we are going to build on when our house sells). I suppose that's all.

Blessings,
Heather

Hi~
Boy does getting enough sleep make a difference! & NOT getting enough makes a HUGE difference! I need a nap!
I sure find that when I don't eat enough, too, the scale either stops goin' down, or goes UP!!!
Needless to say, the last few days have been a wee bit up & down!
I am moving more, though, & staying as raw as possible, so am feeling better by the day...{aside from two detox migraines two days in a row...}
So how are you all doing?
& I've esepcially been wondering how you are, ladyRaw!
Have you been able to begin increasing your activity level this week?
And are you finding raw giving you more energy?
