New to Raw in Vancouver!

Hi everyone! I've been creeping around this wonderful forum for quite a while now and I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself! My name is Nick, I'm 20 years old, and have just recently moved to Vancouver from New Brunswick. And, although I've been thinking about going raw for a while now, I thought that, with a change of address, a healthy lifestyle change is much overdue! I've been vegan for about 4 years and I still don't think I've attained a level of health that I'm striving for.

Anyway, I'm sure I've bored you enough already, but being in a new city is pretty overwhelming, and finding people with the same interests as me is even more daunting. So, if anyone had some raw advice specific to someone living in Vancouver, that would be awesome! Or even if anyone wanted to meet up, maybe at Gorilla Foods (a raw foods restaurant that is just incredible!) to discuss the lifestyle, I'm game!

Everyone on this forum seems really positive and supportive, and those are the kinds of people that I want to surround myself with, so I'm really glad that I found you guys!

try the na'am - i believe they have lots of raw there... although it's been years since i've been there.

last summer, DH and I spent a weekend in Vancouver... there is a raw restaurant/produce market we ate at, that was great:

Thanks everyone for your tips and encouragment! I can't wait to start seeing the benefits of raw foods, and maybe I'll see some of you in the Vancouver area!!

I've heard of Eternal Abundance, and really want to try it! It's just a question of finding it and not getting lost haha. Being new to the city makes it difficult, but fun and exciting as well!

let me know if you're ever in Seattle - we have a couple of great raw restaurants! I go up to Whistler a few times a year, so I'll try to let you know when I pass through Vancouver. I haven't been to Gorilla Food yet - their menu looks yummy!

I'm from NB as well (SJ) and moved to Vancouver, lived there for 15 years, then in a moment of insanity I moved back to the Maritimes (NS). Missing Vancouver like crazy!

In any event, I'm on day 13 of becoming raw and in my search for information and resources, I found this website: http://www.rawbc.org/ (hope it's ok to post it here).

It looks like exactly what you are looking for, and makes me want to move back to Vancouver!
