I bought some ACV...now what? LOL

Does it taste like normal vinegar? How much should I consume? Can I mix it with something (=

Have you ever bought something at the grocery store and didn't know the what heck you were thinking? "Oh...this is healthy for you...let me pick some up."

It goes in a lot of raw recipes for one. It is also good in salads and other assortments.

Some people just drink a tablespoon or two before each meal as a health supplement of sorts.

I haven't quite done that. What I do is I buy something I know I'll use but I just don't know when that time will come.

Hi Rachel,

Welcome to Raw and RFT. You've found the perfect place to learn all you need to in order to be Raw along with so much Loving Support! :)
I buy stuff all the time and find out later that it's good for this or that and it happens that I was/am dealing with the this or that. I call that Intuitive Shopping! ;) If you do a banana search I think there is a topic on Intuitive EAting as well.

Wishing you Great Health and Fun with your Food!
Jen

i use it for 2 things so far... salad and baths. and i'll be trying it in the future with some recipes i've found here.

salad dressing~

(i just add and taste as i go on... it's pretty tart and hot, but the more often i use this as a dressing, the better it taste for me.)

raw ACV
flaxseed oil (i've used olive oil before, but isn't as good)
cayenne pepper

bath~

(this is my fav bath recipe to do... it's outstanding to clear energies in auric feild when you've been mega stressed out, feeling out of sorts or around people who drain your energy. and you don't stink afterwards..it just stinks while you're bathing.) **** note- what works for me may not work for you.

fill tub with warm/hot water
add 1 cup of raw ACV (cooked ACV is only about 20% effective i've found- i'm very energy sensitive)
soak for about 20 mins or until intuition saids to get out..could be 5 mins or 30 mins... all the while thinking about what is stressing you out and imagine it being released into the bath water and ACV clearing it out.
* you may have a wash cloth soaked with the solution covered over your forehead area too unless it bothers you.

don't rinse off... get out of bath...go outside barefoot onto grass... if it's cold out or no grass available..then ok..it just isn't as effective... then imagine your feet chakras steming deep down into earth about 20-50 feet..as far as you can get it but aim for about 20 feet..it might take a minute or longer if you are new to it... then connect with "mother earth" ~ just the earths energy and ask for it to take what energies you care not to have with you (negative energies) and ask her to recycle it/heal it..disolve it.

abracadabra~!

I use it for lots of things:

I soak convential fruits and veggies in it - like a wash.

I add a tablespoon in 8 ounces of water and drink it a few times a week (it is said to be great for weight loss, helps your teeth, and is great when you are feeling something like a cold coming on). It took me awhile to get used to the taste.

There are dressing recipes that call for it. I buy it by the gallon and there is a recipe on the back of the braggs label for a pretty good one. Alissa also makes dressings out of it.

I have Mr. Braggs sitting in My Fridge. I'm hoping he learns his lesson and Sweetens up while he's sitting in there. I guess I could bring him out and use him in My Bath but I'll stick with the Dark Apple Cider Vinegar......RAW or not.

have you tried raw nectar with ACV? i haven't tried it ever that i'm aware of and am curious. i know some people add honey to ACV to sweeten it. i however do not use nor support using honey because i find it abusive to bees as the simular same to some abusing children and animals..this is all i'll say, except to each their own. but maybe raw nectar?

i really can't point it out enough the differance raw ACV makes with this bath. ;)

My husband uses a Tablespoonin a glass of water a few times a day if he feels a sinus infection coming on and it doesn't develop.

What a wonderful medicine.

I soak for maybe 10 minutes giving the veggie and fruits a good twirl through out the soaking time. I don't really measure - maybe a 1/3 of a cup.

I use it instead of buying any other kinds of fruit/veggie wash.
