By far, the best deal i have ever found is at my local farmers market. I live in New Smyrna Bch Fl, and if there are any people in this area, coming to visit, or even an hour away, I highly suggest you come check it out!
Today I bought
4 bunches dandelion greens,
1 head oak leaf lettuce,
2 bunches parsley,
1 head escarole,
1 HUGE bunch dino kale ( like 8 bunches in a store)
it all cost me 17 dollars--- and the kicker----all grown pesticide free, the farmer does this on the side so he doesnt have the organic certification. and it was all picked last night less than 2 miles from where I live!
I also got a mint plant, an orchid- with a double spike- and some basil for ten dollars....crazy
I find it funny that saturdays are my favorite day becasue i get to go play with lettuce...it really is the simple things that bring the most pleasure.
