I just threw this together with stuff I have on hand, I can not believe how "unraw" it tastes. I put it on top of salad greens.

Throw the following into food processor:

1 pint cherry tomatoes
1/2 cup soaked, peeled almonds
1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
1.5 tbsp olive oil
1 cup lentil sprouts
1 date
chopped avocado for on top

blend with these seasonings to taste:

jalipeno
cumin
chili powder
cayenne
sea salt
granulated onion
powdered garlic
cilantro

I accidently put almost 1 tbsp of chili powder thinking that would be bad, but it was awesome! Really made it taste like "real" chili. I will make this again for friends...seriously can't tell its raw :)

sounds yummy thanks for posting. So with the lentil sprouts you put in after blending everything else and then blend again untill smooth??

Just soak them and the skin comes off easily.

Yes, with the almonds, if you keep them in water, the skins slide off really easy. With the lentils, you mix them in after blending-they are like your "beans" in the chili.

I have to caution, though, after eating this stuff for two days at dinner (mine was VERY spicy) I had disturbing, violent dreams last night. I know that too much hot spices can create weird dreams...but man, does it taste good!

The onion dip suggestion is REALLY good. I'll have to break out the dehydrator and make some corn chips to go with this stuff.

I use the onion dip as a "sour cream" on top of the chili. :p

It was Great!! I substituted 1/2 cup soaked oat groats for the lentils (didn't have any) and it was still really good. Alissa's onion dip on top was a brilliant idea, EPPP. This recipe doesn't taste cooked to me. But, I'd definitely choose it over any SAD chili I've ever tasted! Wonderful recipe, Theresaann.
Thanks!
