I ordered my ebook, went shopping for lots of juicy produce...and it's been 5 days and I still don't have the ebook. I've written to them 2x, but haven't received a response yet. I had to juice the produce yesterday before it went bad, and I'd like to get started today. I was wondering if there is anything special I need to know for FEASTING. I have done a 34 day juice fast before, but not a FEAST.

My biggest question is straining the juice. Am I supposed to be straining it, like you do for a fast, or is it important to leave some of the fiber in? Also, I read that AS had hemp oil on her 92 day juice feast, but I know this is a big NO-NO on a fast, in order to shut off the hunger.

So on a feast are we supposed to try to shut off the hunger, like on a fast, or is it important to try to keep the hunger turned on so we will drink LOTS of juice?

Those are my big burning questions so I can start today. I already have my juice made up.

Any other must-know tips before I get started?

The difference between a juice fast and a juice feast is only in the amount of juice you drink per day. Juice feasting is consuming a minimum of 3-4 litres of juice per day. Yes, you still need to strain out the pulp to get juice. If you don't, you're doing a smoothie fast or feast. Hemp oil is okay on a juice feast (as are alot of other supplements). The hunger is still turned off. It's the lack of pulp in the juices that puts the digestive system into fasting mode, so the body can focus on cleansing and healing instead of on digestion.

www.juicefeasting.com/ has all the information you need to do a juice feast (although, given you've already done a juice fast in the past, you have enough information to do it...but it's always good to learn more). Sorry to hear you've been waiting so long for the ebook.

Have a great feast!

I always believed that fat during a fast will induce hunger, so I've always avoided it.

and... on the juicefeasting (http://www.juicefeasting.com/JuiceFeastingSpectrumIntro/SupplementsandSuperfoods/tabid/182/Default.aspx) website itself they say:

Hemp seeds are the only food known that contain the exact ratio of essential fatty acids (one part omega 3 to three parts omega 6). Flax seeds and flax oil provide therapeutic quantities of omega 3, yet hemp seeds provide a long-term stable source of omega 3, omega 6, as well as omega 6 (GLA), and omega 9 (a beautifying monounsaturated fat). This is why we have chosen hemp oil over flax oil for the Juice Feasting Program, and for lifetime use after the Feast.

Omega 3 fatty acids (found in hemp seeds, hemp oil, flax seeds, and flax oil) are essential fatty acids (they are called "essential" because they must be present in our diet to experience good health). These fatty acids are strong antioxidants. They protect us from the sun and build beautiful skin. They also strengthen the immune system and help us to burn excess fat.

Hemp seed is the highest natural source of gamma linolenic acid (GLA), a type of super-omega 6 fatty acid that has strong anti-inflammatory properties. GLA also helps maintain hormonal balance. Within unsprouted hemp seeds we find small undeveloped green leaves waiting to be sprouted, making hemp seeds one of the few unsprouted seeds that contain chlorophyll.

Hemp seeds also contain a significant quantity of lecithin. This nutrient is excellent for building the internal organs (liver, brain, etc.).

On the Juice Feast: 1 Tablespoon of Hemp Oil max each day, in your juice.

awesome info. thanks. You know what? I think I misspoke. I think I read several years ago that fat would slow down the detox. Maybe that's why I avoided it. But that's not a big deal probably for 10 days or less. But this one is gonna be a doozie, so I guess I better add some help oil. :P
