This site has lots of chocolate recipes and if I'm not mistaken one for chocolate covered dates which you could easily adapt.

You can use equal amounts of cacao powder, melted cacao butter and agave/honey to make chocolate and then dip almonds in it before it hardens. Keep in mind almonds in USA must be pasteurized with cancer causing chemicals since 2007. I now get almonds from Italy or Spain but they are much more expensive (but they actually taste something, the USA ones have always been tasteless) so I eat much less almonds since the law was passed.

that's where i get my almonds (and a ton of other stuff) the cali ones say they are unpasturized but.....
and they have ones from spain.. about $12/lb. CDN (but the more you buy the cheaper they are) is that comparable to what you pay?

Thats about half what I pay, they are $9-10 for 250 grams at my health food store (the ones from italy/spain).
Thanks for the website, I'm also in Canada.
