Hello. I'm new here and I am really excited about getting a dehydrator soon but I see a lot of reipes that call for nuts and seeds as a large part of them. So I was wondering....
1) What recipe books would you say have a great selection on recipes that dont include nuts?
2) What are some recipes for cheesecakes, burgers, wraps, crackers, or breads that do not require nuts or seeds?
Thanks in advance!

I'm just curious, why do you not want nuts or seeds?

My sons grandma is allergic to soooo many things including nuts and I wanted her to try some things. She's very interested in the raw concept so I am trying to give her a variety because she thinks raw food will be very restrictive to her. Plus I'm on a bit of of budget and raw nuts can get a little expensive so it would be nice to have some alternatives. I'm a square foot gardener so I think I got a lot of veggies covered for free (at least until winter) but nuts are a different story. :)

About the cost, it is only a great illusion that nuts seem to cost more, in fact they are the least expensive of all foods by far. I have a thread here comparing the true cost difference between nuts and spinach as an example:

I am allergic to nuts and simply replace the nuts in all recipes with sunflower or pumpkin(pepita) seeds. They are cheaper than nuts, but give the same results, for the most part. You have to play with the taste sometimes, but I have had no problems so far :)
