Hello. I am a 28 year old single mother of two and I found this board when I was searching for recpies and examples of raw food meals. I will soon be ordering Alissa's book. I also own a VitaMix and a juicer so far. I am working on a dehydrator which thanks to this board I know which one to get!

I am a learning nut so I have been snatching up every raw book I can find. I know Border's is wondering about the sudden surge in raw food book sales! lol

While here I am hoping to expand my knowlege of the raw food lifestyle and meet some great people to help support me on this new journey. It has already been interesting. My kids LOVE green smoothies already! I am hoping to find as many recipes as I can that do not call for any nuts or seeds or if they do very little.

I look forward to meeting you all!

Welcome to the forum!!!! You were talking about snatching up all the raw food books you could.....well, Alissa's is incredible....it has EVERYTHING in it. It's packed with a recipe section, a section with all the in's and out's of rawfood, answers to every question you could possibly have, a before and after section that tells you about people that have gone raw. It's really the book I'd choose if I could only have one raw food book because it has everything in it. Now another favorite of mine is Ani Phyo's book. Oh, Alissa's DVD is really worth getting also. It's 2 DVD's that show her making all kinds of dishes.....you'll basically understand how to make everything in about any raw food book after watching her DVD. You also learn just how quick and easy raw food can be.
