I'm intrigued by eating raw to 1) be healthy 2) lose about 20 lbs and keep it off by living this lifestyle. I've been eating raw foods the past few days, but have gained two lbs. I have no way yet of gauging if I'm eating the right size portions to actually "lose." I'm likely eating way too much. Are there any books out on this? thank you

If you've not gotten Alissa's book and dvd's, I'd highly recommend them. Welcome!

Thank you! Everyone is so friendly here. I'm 50, and still eat like a 13 year old. I'm tired of working all day, and then coming home depressed and binging on potato chips and malted milk balls while I watch QVC. I'm tired of being constipated all the time. Something has GOT to change!

Tiger, welcome to raw! You should do the 30 day challenge. It isn't always easy, and there may be days on it that you are tired, but in the end you will feel cleaner and healthier. I wouldn't worry about the weight these first 30 days, just enjoy getting healthy. Everyone over eats it seems when they start, but that tapers off naturally as will your weight. Good luck, and welcome.
