My son is on a very restricted diet for the next few weeks (long story, but trying to handle some major allergies and gut problems).
All he can eat is the following:
quinoa cucumber
yellow squash cabbage
apple banana
plums oranges
olive oil cashews
cinnamon coconut
cocoa collards
dates kale
acv brazil nuts
macadamia nuts (sm. amount due to price!)
sea salt
He has to eat 4-6 small meals per day for several weeks. I'm trying to make some variety, not necessarily for boredom's sake, but to prevent more allergy problems and keep his diet balanced. ANY recipes you can think of with JUST these ingredients- he can't have any other additives- would be SO much appreciated!
I'm especially curious about quinoa recipes. I have never had it raw or cooked, but I hear it is high in protein and I'm hoping to prepare it so he likes it.
Oh, I should mention, these recipes are for a 5 year old! He is not picky at all, but yes, if it looks too weird, he's five and will spit it out!
Thank you all!!

Chocolate cake - grind brazil nuts in the food processor. Add dates and cocoa powder and whizz up. Press into cake shape. You can put a layer of coconut cream in the middle and dried coconut (the dry flakes leftover from making cream) on the top to decorate. You could also put sliced banana in the middle.
You could make a chocolate mousse cake by combining dates and dried coconut in the food processor. That's your base. Blend cashew nuts and dates, cocoa and coconut and some water to make the filling.
Fruit salad with coconut cream
Blend 200g kale with 4 bananas and glass water to make a smoothie (makes 4 glasses). You could tell him it's dragon's blood or dragon juice...or slime....ninja turtle juice...whatever he's into.
yellow squash cut and tossed in olive oil and sea salt then warmed in dehydrator for a couple of hours.
1-2 apples, peeled, cored, cut and chopped in processor, add in 1-2 ripe bananas, a little cinnamon and blend until you get an oatmeal like consistancy.
peel and freeze bananas for smoothies
I like banana/orange juice
some cashews blended with water, a couple dates, frozen banana for a milkshake, you could add in cocoa for a chocolate shake
kale cut and massaged with sea salt and orange juice(and maybe a few drops acv) until wilts, add in some olive oil and sliced cucumber
nuts, dates and sea salt pulsed in processor for a crust. blend coconut meat and coconut water together for a filling and top with sliced plums, or add cocoa and dates to the coconut and blend to make a chocolate pie
Good Luck!!

Would he eat a collard greens wrap? I made some tonight with a filling of cashews & almonds (with water in blender) mixed with chopped cucumber, yellow pepper and green onions...I know some of this isn't on your list but you can modify it for him...then make it a wrap with the collard leaf. Another option is to scoop out the seeds from a cucumber and make it a 'boat' to fill with a nut (and veg) blend...
Rawvolution has a recipe for 'Haystacks' that I think fits within your list guidelines (oh, except agave...can he have that or honey?). They're a definite kid friendly snack!
What about a banana 'boat' filled with a cashew nut butter mixed with cocoa powder and maybe a little cinnamon? Perhaps even a little bit of chopped dates sprinkled on top...
If nothing else, hope this gave you a couple more ideas!

You could make kale chips in the dehydrator with just a bit of sea salt, a touch of olive oil and a touch of acv, dehydrate until crispy.
Blessings,
