Hi, I just recently made the decision to transition to raw, and i'm very excited about this. I'm from New Orleans where we have food in abundance. This will be a challenge, but I know that this is right for me. I have been on a journey of self improvement since right after the birth of my 3rd daughter (9 months ago). I'm so glad I found this site for support.

Welcome nola freebird. I'm up here in BR trying to keep it raw. Doing the raw challenge this month. Hit the farmer's markets for fresh produce and there are lots of good recipes around here. Good luck!

Hey... I'm in New Orleans too. One thing you should remember is not to beat yourself up if you fall off the wagon. Transitioning to raw is not easy. I had been trying to transition since July 2008. I didn't complete my first full month of raw until January of 2009. Just keep trying and you will get there.:)

Sending you a very big WELCOME from Baton Rouge. Glad to see another neighbor here! I understand the challange of transitioning in a place where cooked food is such a rich part of the local culture and wish you the very best in making the transition!
