First off, let me remark about how good the organic dried sultanas I bought today taste. I have never had a sultana before - I'm in love! I have such a sweet tooth :o .
Anyways, I just made a really great tasting simple green smoothie. And for once I actually measured the ingredients that went into it, so I can share the recipe with you!
Here it is:
1 large ripe banana
1 medium ripe brown pear
5 ounces of arugula - this is one bunch, or one medium box
As much or as little water as you want.
I made this smoothie thick, like a pudding, by adding very little water. I am eating it with a spoon, mixed with sultanas and goji berries and finely chopped superfood fudge. So good! I also like this smoothie with 1/4 of an avocado blended in. I have no avocados right now, and it is also good without avocados. I can get arugula for much cheaper than baby spinach, but it is a bit stronger tasting than spinach, so coming up with yummy smoothies to use it in can be tough. This smoothie is great.
Have a rawesome day, everyone!
