Hello, thank you for reading this thread.

I am having a bit of a dilema, but maybe it is not a dilema and that is where I need a bit of assistance, reasurrance maybe, a kick in the butt? I don't know.

Today is day 17 of my fast and I am feeling great. In the beginning I had carrot/apple and apple/cuke or apple/celery and orange and orange/pineapple plus lots of water. Lately I have not felt like making juices. I did one day all water, sort of by accident because I just didn't feel like juice and I felt great on water and it was wonderful having an all water day. I really enjoyed it. Ever since then I am having a hard time with juices. The last couple days since the all water day I have only had maybe a quart of orange juice and the rest just water all day. Yesterday I made some carrot juice, which I normally love, and I could not drink it. It made me want to gag and it ended up getting tossed.

So I know that I should be listening to my body and perhaps my body just wants water right now and nothing else, which is ok. I just worry that I am not getting enough nutrients. I still have yet to get my green powder that I ordered (grrr, it is taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r) and I guess I just wanted a bit of advice, encouragment, experience, whatever. I feel like I am ok, but maybe I'm not and wanted to ask some more experienced fasters. I also have this splendid metal taste in my mouth right now and I am trying to figure out what I did in my past that would cause that. :)

Thanks everyone!

Well, I know I'm not who you had in mind, but I say:
If you want water, have water. Listen to your body, always. :)

As for the metal taste, if you've had vaccinations or amalgam fillings, or drunk from aluminum cans, or any of a million other things, you've got metal to detox. I think the vast majority of us have plenty of toxic metals in us that we'd do well do be rid of.
I would say take chlorella, and if you do juice, get some cilantro in your juice, as these bind with metals in your system and carry them out of your body.

Thanks HG, I do not have any chlorella. I bought some vitamineral green that I am waiting on. Cilantro is something that I have never liked. I may try it, who knows, taste buds change right? Do tetanus shots have metal? They must, everything else does. That is the only thing I have had in years and I got the shot after stepping on a nail. Ouch! And before raw lots of cans of soda, I never thought of that.
Thanks again. Drinking water right now and I will make some OJ later probably. I love fresh OJ, it is so good!

Yup it's heavy metal detox we all have to do it in the society we live in. It'll pass.

As for what's happening with you. You are looking at me in the mirror Alisha. This is exactly what I experience. I just allow it. Did you see my test results from my bloodwork? This is from doing 12 weeks of almost no juice or water. I did very very little on that fast... I just had no desire for much of anything. A litre or two maybe a day and other days... a gallon LOL I just literally went with the flow!

Whenever I feel... I don't know... odd in a fast, I change it up. So perhaps do a few days of water - there's a bunch of us doing 3 days of water (I'm doing longer than that I think) in the fasting thread so come on over and just read if you wish... but join us!

(((hugs))) to you!!!
