What benefits you have felt or seen by using Chlorella?
I noticed on the Daily Rituals thread that a lot of people "have to have" their Chlorella everyday. I only know that Chlorella has some detox benefits. When I was shopping yesterday, I saw that Source Naturals' Yaeyama Chlorella tablets were on sale and there was only one box left, so I bought it. The Sun Chlorella brand was out of stock.

chlorella is great... what i love the most about it is the nutty flavour. it's a nice 'snack' when i'm fasting. LOL
other than that... i can't honestly say that i'm feeling anything from taking it... i don't take it every single day. i'm more of a "now and then" kinda girl with everything. i just go with the flooooooooooooooow.

*giggling*... I don't think now that it was detox... I'm pretty sure I was sick. But it was interesting how it all came about around the same time... perhaps a combination of the two?

Me too. I take them for a few days and then sometimes go several days without because I just don't think about it. Aleesha, and Melissa got me started on them, because they used to talk back and forth about the nutty flavor. It's funny, some days I REALLY enjoy the taste, and others I will eat 3 or 4 and the taste just doesn't work for me, so I don't eat any more that day. :confused:Don't really know what that is about, with the taste but......

do you "chew" your chlorella tabs? I did that a few times and it's really not too bad; tastes pretty good. You do, however, end up looking GREEN like Shrek and it sticks to your teeth like peanut butter

I read the link today. Humm...Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't.
When starting a new supplement, I usually start slowly. The Chlorella package says 10 per day. I had 3 this morning, three at noon and thought I would increase to 10 in the next day or two.
After reading your blog - just it case it was detox- ;) I think I will not take any tomorrow (until I return home), since I have an out of town guest whom I will be taking to New Orleans for the day.

It helps eliminate intestinal gas (see last line below)? Maybe I could have just used Chlorella instead of spening $$ on a colonics a couple of days ago to get rid of (most of) the bloat that nothing else was helping!
Here’s what I found at http://www.diagnose-me.com/treat/T63897.html :
Both scientific documentation and reliable anecdotal reports indicate that chlorella is effective in helping to reduce the symptoms of numerous types of cancers, diabetes, low blood sugar, arthritis, AIDS, pancreatitis, liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, peptic ulcers, viral and bacterial infections, anemia, and multiple sclerosis.
Chlorella is considered to be a first class detoxifying agent, capable of removing alcohol from the liver and heavy metals (such as cadmium and mercury), certain pesticides, herbicides, and polychlorbiphenyls (PCBs) from the body's tissues. A Japanese study showed that taking 4-6gm of chlorella before consuming alcohol can prevent hangovers 96% of the time, even after a night of heavy drinking.
Chlorella can also absorb toxins from the intestines, help relieve chronic constipation, favorably alter the bacterial flora content of the bowel and eliminate intestinal gas. It is also effective in healing skin wounds, both mild and severe.

I decided to take a 2 chlorella tablets yesterday, along with digestive enzymes while on my outing. I didn't get sick and surely didn't have problems with bloat. Yep, I do believe I'm going to like Chlorella for digestion!

some days I take spirulina, some days I take chlorella. Aren't they both algae? I'm not sure. But one of them gave me a tangible boost in mental clarity and stamina.

Yes, they're both algae (different types). Which one gave you the boost?

I also do E3 Live. They're all so wonderful; worth the expense. Since I keep mixing them, I can't quite tell what's doing what but it's all so good I'll keep it up.

I've for a long time wanted to take chlorella. I recently bought this (http://www.kiki-health.co.uk/Products/Supplements/Natures_Superfood.asp#) - it's in powder form and has a whole load of other RAW superfoods. The lady at my local organic supermarket suggests this to just chlorella n it's own. I'll try taking it daily, hope it's good.
However, the idea of chewing chlorella tabs as a tasty treat whilst fasting sounds good - weird but good, lol.

Hi,
If one's allergic to weeds/grass, would one be allergic to chorella/alage?
:D
