I was wondering.... I just bought the champion juicer online...it should be here in a couple weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to make and how? I planned to make smoothies...I'm sure the manual will tell me how, and obviously juices..... but what else?
also...it seems a lot of raw foods needs a dehydrator (chips, pie crusts, pizza, crackers, bread, fried fruit) and I dont have one yet....can anyone reccommend a good small one... I dont plan on cooking for anyone but myself, maybe my mom...but thats it.. any reccommendations?
also, is there something else I need to know? I've been raw for about 3 weeks or so...and I'm getting a little bored of salads, carrots, and sprout sandwiches on raw bread....

You can juice alot, make the banana ice cream and homogenize nuts into pates.

There have quite a few threads on dehydrators. Simply put, if you have the money, the Excaliber is the best. Otherwise, there is an American Harvester you can buy at many places. Many people on this board, have one of these.

Try some shredded zucchini with marinara. Soak some mushrooms. Make pates. Marinate veggie slivers in a spicy/sweet Chinese sauce. Make nori rolls. Gazpacho soup. Make some chili ( the recipe is posted on the board - do a search). Make sauerkraut (or buy some, check to make sure it's raw). Slice up some bananas and spread with almond butter. Make some sauces with nuts and toss with shredded squash.

Hope this helps.

I have the Excalibur 9 tray model, and it is very nice. However, most of the time, I make up the recipe, and just eat it as is. I made up the carrot pecan burgers yesterday, and ended up eating it all from the bowl, between yesterday and today. :)
So I agree with what has already been posted. Don't wait to try some of the recipes until you have your dehydrator!
