my 22mo has been a chow hound lately. i cannot keep up with her begging at the fridge. so, while i was dozing off last night i thought of a plan to keep her content. i dug out an old igloo cooler, lunch box size, put 2 cooler packs in the bottom and a dish cloth on top of those, then i put sliced pears, raisens, celery and carrots, and a cut up larabar in a bowl and a cup. she LOVED it! she thought that it was the coolest thing ever. she took it in the living room this afternoon and filled a tiny plate with what she wanted, hopped up on the couch for a 1/2 hour of curious george and was as quite as a clam.

oh, i am so happy that we found something that is keeping her content. she has been pretty tough lately.

just thought that i'd share this tidbit! oh, she ate everything!

Great idea!

I used to keep a stash of various chopped vegies, pudding, fudge balls and other nibblies in the fridge for my son to go and get whenever he felt like grazing. Must start that up again.

I also kept a stock of icypoles made from juice and pureed fruits in the freezer as well as chocolate coated frozen banana.
