I guess I made dip instead of dressing. I put together a big cabbage salad yesterday with Green & Red Cabbage, Scallions, Carrots, & Celery and wanted to make a dressing for it.
So, I put water, sesame seeds, olive oil, lemon, salt, pepper, & cayenne pepper in it and it seems more like a dip. :p It is good.
Anyone have anygood suggestions for a dressing for cabbage salad?
I sure would appreciate it. Hehehe :)
I do love this dip and can dip raw veggies in it. YUM!

I like this because it's simple and works very well with cabbage:
Olive Oil
Dulse Granules
Cayenne Pepper
Mustard Vinegar Dressing
Mustard Seeds Powder
Apple Cider Vinegar
Olive or Flax Oil
Dash Salt
Optional: Dash Agave
½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
¼ cup Nama shoyu
2-3 Garlic cloves
4 in. Ginger, peeled
1 cup Olive oil

- to replace the original milkiness of coleslaw ide try almond milk as base
- and pre vegan days i always liked kentucky fried chickens coleslaw and their secret ingredient was apples

Wow, interesting. Apples? Who wudda thunk it?! Lol!
I ended up trying this one from the broccoli salad thread.
1 cup Cashews
2 Tbls Agave (substituted honey)
2 Tbls ACV
1/4 cup Water
Sea Salt
Yummy!

My current fave dressing on almost any kind of salad is EVOO, ACV and a drizzle of honey. everyone raves about it!

Sparkle - I hear you! I love that simple combo. Simple dressings are the best. Here is another simple dressing that is good: Honey/Agave, lemon juice, and tamari.
Yet another: Squeeze 1/2 fresh orange, pour on some EVOO and sprinkle on some sea salt OR some dulse flakes.

Those are yummy. I was actually looking for creamy type dressing for the coleslaw but, I do appreciate all the other dressings that I will try...... :)
