I would like to post again about how awesome the food at Nature's Pantry , from Chef Adam's raw bar, is! If you are in downtown Bellevue, its really worth checking out.

I love his collard wraps, and the raw raw tacos are so good. He has a knack with spices I have not tasted with any other raw chef.

Thanks. Next time someone asks me where I would like to go eat lunch, I'll have an anwer. Is Adam there for lunch and dinner? If so, which do you prefer?

I've been considering signing up for this class. Is it the same Adam?

Staying Warm with Raw Foods in the Winter
Raw Foods Prep Class

Saturday, February 7th 1pm - 4 pm $50
RawVegan Source presents premier chef Adam Lewis in his Raw Food Prep Class on the many ways to stay warm and raw in the winter months. You will explore chilies that charge your fire and give you health benefits.

Adam will begin the class with Mayan Magic, a cacao drink with sprouted sunflower seeds, cayenne, mesquite, agave & sea salt.

You will learn how to make crackers your way. Adam will teach you the ratios of ingredients to make great crackers everytime using your own creativity. The basics of dehydration will also be taught.

Thai style and Indian style curries will be demonstrated and you will learn about blending roots, chilies, aromatics, herbs and spices to generate internal heat. Adam will acquaint you with warming aromatics and spices such as chilies (capsicum), ginger, turmeric, galangal, garlic, cinnamon, black pepper, allspice (sun-ripened berry of the evergreen tree), and more including how to handle chilies. A sprouted hummus with chilies will demonstrate how to use some of these warming ingredients.

someone was just telling me about the tacos! I haven't seen them when I have been there...they probably just sell out fast.

raw chic- I think he only makes certain items on certain days- you might try calling ahead. Seems to me Mon or Tueday was taco day, but not recalling which.

rawknit- that is the same chef, I am hoping to make that class myself=)
He is at the deli from 11-2 Mon-Fri- it is part of a health food type store, but there are a few tables and chairs at the juice bar.

I like to buy a few things from the store itself as well when I can- they are privatly owned and the owners seem really nice. My daughter loves to find one of the little bags of dried mango or pineapple as a treat in her lunch=)

good to know!
yeah, I can't make it during the day when he is actually there because I work in downtown Seattle. I wish he was there on evenings and/or weekends.
I just grab what I can from their fridge. Hmm...I bet if I called I could have them "hold" something for me. I'll do that next time!

Sorry I missed it. I went there last weekend and spent all my money on food instead of signing up the class. Boo-hoo. :(

Do tell us all about it. Any tips you will be incorporating into your raw food dishes? How about that mayan cacao drink? Care to share how to make that? :)

Hi Dianne! Double sorry I didn't go. I've missed a couple special events there that would have been fun. I shop at RVS at least once a month. It's about 15 miles from my house or I would shop there more often. Tom, Sue and Uri are very nice people. Love the wet dates they have in the fridge.

One of these days I'll make the trip to Nature's Pantry for lunch. I would love to try Adam's food.
