I have sunflower seeds in a bowl right now that I am trying to sprout and after 12 hours I'm not really seeing any results. Do you think I'm just being impatient and maybe I just need to wait a full 24 hours to see ay results? I've never sprouted before so if someone can help me that would be greatly appreciated. I soaked them for 6-8 hours and then drained them and put them in a bowl to sprout and I've rinsed them once and they've been sitting for about 12 hours. I need them for a recipe so if someone can help that would be GREAT! Thanks!

so basically they don't really change in appearance into an actual sprout if they are a hulled sunflower seed out of the shell? Maybe that's what my problem was that I was waiting for an actual sprout. Thanks for the info!

They should grow a little fat tail. I sprout sunflower seeds from the HFS all the time. I only get a teeny little tail on them before I use them, but I do get a tail...

Oh ha ha you! Yeah, I'd recommend just throwing a dishtowel over them so they still get air circulation!
