chop it up for salads, or lay it out in a dehydrator- kinda turns into chips

Slice up a tomato and douse it heavily in dulse, wakame flakes, and kelp - that is my favorite thing to do with seaweed of all kinds.
In fact I believe I will have that right now.
I also throw it in blender soups, on salads, in nori rolls, and in nut pates.

Dulse is my favorite sea veggie! I do love eating it straight from the bag.
I love it in salads--if you give it a bit of time in the salad before eating, it gets all moist. It also gives the salad a lot of salty goodness.
I also love to eat it in collard green wraps with olives, avocado, tomatoes, shredded carrot, and either a seed/nut 'cheese' or raw hummus.

I soak it in water, drain, chop and put it in a salad of crisp lettuce, raw-cured black olives, sunflower seeds, and a drizzle of olive oil.
Iceberg lettuce is my favorite for this salad. It's crispness and high water content balance the saltiness, and it's plain enough to let the dulse flavor come through.
Also like to sprinkle dulse flakes on soups and salads.

I just bought some dulse. I plan on trying it in a salad dressing recipe that I have. I'll let you know how it turns out.;)
I have another dulse question. Does dulse taste similar to Nori? I'm a sea veggie newbie! *Ü*

I would say not. I like dulse, but absolutely under no circumstances can I tolerate the taste of nori!
Okay! That's what I was hoping to hear actually (wink) because I don't care for the taste of Nori and it was keeping me from trying other sea veggies to be honest.
I do crinkle a Nori sheet up into my sprouted quinoa salad, but only because its flavor doesn't come through.. Thank you RawKnitster. *Ü*

Your safe with dulse. ;) I've tried 4 or 5 types so far. Dulse is the best. It has a fresh salty taste (to me anyway). I'm still using small amounts of the bag of Sea Palm and Arame. The Nori and Kombu went in the compost pile. I've also got a bag of Alaria Wakame that I really want to like. I bought a 1/2 lb bag after sampling it, but after getting it home...not so good. I'm sucking on a piece now. I keep trying.
How about fresh seaweed? Am I mistaken or aren't you on the coast? I saw a magazine show about a woman who gathered her own on the Washington coast. She was picking it up and eating it right off the beach. !!!

I use dulce powder in my smoothies. YUMMY!
My smoothies is where I slip in kelp powder that otherwise I couldn't tolerate.
Dulse, I use in raw sandwiches. For some silly reason, it reminds me of bacon.
This is great news! Thank you everyone for helping me with the flavor of dulse and how it compares to Nori. *Ü*
