I just got the Omega juicer and I am really excited to get into juicing daily. I feel like I have a million questions and when I look online there seems to be an array of different answers...

I was wondering how much does one need to juice in order to get nutritional benefits? I have been starting out with a little each morning because I read that it takes your body a while to adjust to getting all the nutrients.

Also, is it okay to juice carrots everyday? Or is there too much sugar?

** I take a large amount of supplements in the morning but I need to take them on a full stomache... how am I supposed to juice on an empty stomache in the morning...but also take my supplements after a full meal? I only have so much time in the morning before work! does anyone else have this dilemma?..or have any ideas?

Yay! I'm excited FOR you! A new juicer... How fun!:)

There really aren't any absolute answers to anything when it comes to juicing. Do what feels right for YOU.

One glass of juice will definitely ramp up your vitamins, phytochemicals, antioxidants, etc. Could you take your supplements at a later time in the day? (i.e. with food?) You may feel that, as you continue to eat healthier, you may no longer feel the need to take supplements. Lots of people don't. However, here again, do what feels right for YOU. YOU are the best judge of what's best for YOUR body.

Have fun with your juicer. One of my personal favorites is: apple(1) carrot(3), kale(1/3 bunch), lime(1/4-1/2) juice. There are so many good concoctions. Check out the 'search' button for more ideas. You may even want to buy a juicing book for more ideas/to learn more about the health advantages of juicing.

May you have good health and much happiness!

Thank you for the suggestions! I'll have to try the carrot/kale/lime/apple juice...sounds yummy! but how do you juice a lime? i have an omega and a lot of the fruits I have to peel and cut up.

Also I take supplements in the morning and at night because im usually on the run during the day and dont have time. so i was thinking this: drink juice when i wake up, then after i do my morning routine (shower, dress, etc) drink a smoothie and then take my supplements? i might be overdoing it but i guess ill figure out what works for my body as time goes on!

what sort of supplements are you taking? I used to be the supplement king however since I started juicing ive eliminated almost all of them...my suggestion would be to wait at least 30 mins before ingesting anything else to allow your juice to absorb fully and get all the benefits.

I actually juice the lime with the rind on (it's organic). I use 1/4 to 1/2 of a lime in my juice- Save the rest for the next days juice.

Making juice isn't a precise science. Everyone has their own taste. I happen to enjoy:

1/2-1 apple (pending on how big the apple is)
2-3 carrots
a few leaves kale
1/4-1/2 lime

When making juice, I make sure to use organic produce. It just makes sense to me to maximize the health benefits this way. (When eating whole foods, I'm not such a purist when it comes to organics.) The ingredients I use are pretty easy to find organic, at least for me. (There's a local store that sells all these products organically; lucky me!)

I hope you are having fun with your new juicer! :)

I have a Question. I just got a Centrifrugal - a Breville. I think it's great. But, I had alot of unjuiced greens and a few chunks of carrot and celery ...... am I maybe puching too hard on the veggies to go down? I guess I need to learn how to do this better.

ide take that pulp , throw it in a blender half full o water .
blend , then strain in order to get all the juice out of pulp .

then mix it with the pure juice from juicer for a good rich blend .

The more juice the better. My body has been calling for lots of juice. The lighter the input of foods/juices,the better health is.The body has less work to do to digest and can be working on cellular levels.
If I want a late snack,I make a green juice. At night while I repair, theres no digestion work so my workers say "ok lets go into repair and cleanse mode." I wake up early, refreshed and ready to go.
Green juice is pure bliss and clear feeling.I make greens with a pear and some apple...amaZING!!!
