We're getting pretty bored of our usual green salad dressing (avocado, celery and cucumber) We have very little options for fruit right now just apples, pears, oranges... In the summer its awesome with all the fruit that's available we like to blend a certain kind of fruit with either celery and/or a nut/seed or nut butter.
We don't like using fresh herbs or spices, garlic, onion, vinegar or oil...
I'm totally stuck on what to do with our salad dressings!

Any ideas would be very helpful .. if any lol ! This is tough ! :o

Thanks

If you have tomatoes there's many dressings you can make. Though I find most taste better with garlic or other herbs.

I really like the "dressing" on the Cheezy Kale Chips. Last batch I ate half of them before they made it into the dehydrator. For salad dressing I reduced the nuts to 1/2 cup.

Blend:

1 red pepper, seeded and chopped
juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup soaked cashews
2 t. nutritional yeast (opt)
1 T. agave (opt)
1/4 t. sea salt (opt)

I've also made it with cashew butter and sunflower seeds. You could soak the seeds but I didn't. Turned out great.

I love to cut up an orange and just eat chunks of it with a big bite of greens! Delicious! Pears are also good with spinach salad :)

Nice thank you Dimond!! That was exactly what my boyfriend was looking for :)
Thank you RawKnitster for your suggestion, my boyfriend doesnt like peppers but I do so this is a great one for me :)
Thank you JennaBoBenna for your idea as well, we did you that a few times. We juiced an orange for a dressing then added satsuma orange pieces to the salad it was very good. We also shredded apple and pear in with our salad which was good as well, we will definitely be making our salads like that again but after so many days in a row its nice to change it up and try something new.

Thanks again :)

I have trouble getting a good low-fat/sugar dressing going but now I add greens to thicken it up and add some punch

also I save my soaking juice especially from sundried tomatoes to add depth to the flavor

otherwise just flax oil and lemon is great:D

I use Alissa's pad thai sauce for my salad dressing all the time. It's a combination of almond butter, honey, orange juice, braggs aminos, and ginger. I can't get enough of it.
