Hey guys, ive been a lurker for a while so i guess its time to come out.
I have to say a big big big thank you to all of you, ive learnt so much from you. Ive been interested in raw foodism for about a month now. since early december last year, I had a green smoothie for breakfast, now all i want to do is to eat raw. My migranes are almost non existent, they only appear when i eat processed. Im trying to loose 25 Lbs, so Ive put myself on a 2 month, 75% raw challenge, im now on day 20 it was hard at first, but now im loving it!
I have battled with binge/over eating in the past and i figure whenever i restrict myself, i overeat. I did a 3 day fast two weeks ago, it was my first water fast, very intense, i was having harsh symptoms, but i felt sooo good afterwards. I achieved a lot, moved houses, completely quit smoking, moved away from toxic people/ friends, healed acne scars, ( they are barely visible now) and formed such a good connection with myself and my body, I wanted to do it again!
I tried another 3 days a couple of days back, didnt get the same detox symptoms as i did earlier, i was very tired/stressed from my move and was travelling a lot, so i jumped back to eating, 50% raw.
Ive been constipated since my first fast, ive never had a good BM since then,.. anyone experience the same?
Im finding it hard fasting because im constantly being invited out to dinners, parties, to see freinds, people cooking me meals,. even my raw friend always, wants to go to the raw cafe where they sell my fave raw cheesecake!, so its kinda hard lol.
Im thinking of buying a home enema kit for this. Im not sure if theyre any good, or maybe I should just go for a colonic at a clinic?
I want to do a 10 day water only fast, im going to prepare over the next 3 days by drinking only juices before I go into the fast so the symptoms are not too harsh. im going to be drinking my favorite mix: spinach, kale, i slice pineapple, i slice mango, and water( sometimes add raw beetroot for a purple smoothie)
I would be posting on here for advice and support from all you lovely people, so i dont break the fast on a bad day:)!
What would you suggest for the Bm issue? lol:o
Any sucess with home enema kits?
And any tips for a first time 10 day faster? Ive heard detox REALLY starts after day 3, and ive barely got past that mark.
