i found a store that sells raw coco beans.. and was wondering has anyone tryed to grow a coco plant? can't really find anything about growing them. i thought it would be a good. idea thanks

If its a whole bean, try to sprout it.....if it sprouts, under the right conditions, it will GROW...

Some of the beans did sprout. They don't do well at all in direct sunlight. They need to be grown in shade. And the temperature cannot get below 40-45 degrees.

Wow....I've never even thought of doing that....fun. Is it a tree or a bush? Now I'm curious.

I think they get up to 15-20 feet.

There is this great eco colony in Hawaii - I think - that planted a grew their own cocoa trees. They grow very quickly if I remember like four years to maturity!
