Just thought I'd share a neat way to enjoy flax and get your Omega 3s and fibre in the process. I simply sprinkle some on my salad! It sounds weird maybe, but I like the extra texture.
Have a great day!

nah, not weird. I've been doing it forever. Also in the muesli (available on Alissa's website), on guacamole, on fruit salad, on "ice cream", in shakes. Man alive! I eat a lot of flax!!!!!!!!!!!

That's how I use mine too....although the brown flax is more nauseating than the gold flax seeds. :)

I put them in every smoothie I make. Just put the flax seeds in a pint jar, put your blender blade on the jar and blend them. They are wonderful. I use 1 1/2 tablespoons of the ground flax seeds.

Haaa, that is exactly what I had yesterday and every day. I hate flax seed oil.
"...I hate flax seed oil."
Yes, it's absolutely beyond me why the majority of people who consume flax do so precisely because they have educated themselves on its benefits, and that of wholefoods (and thus, the problems with refined foods), and yet they then go right ahead and refine their flax into oil, discarding all that nutritionally-valuable fibre and mucilage. You can bet that these very same 'home-refiners' of flax seeds take care to consume brown rice instead of polished white rice (assuming they eat rice at all - it's just an example).
As people in the north of England say: "There's nowt as strange as folk!" :D
