I'm really enjoying my daily (or two) green smoothies and would like to eat more raw HOWEVER

I'm toothless. Any suggestions on raw meals that can be gummed (as opposed to chewed heh)?

I have been making soups that are good and do not have to be chewed.

Tonight I made a tomato soup tonight:

1 table spoon raw tomato concentrate
1 tomato
half a garlic clove
water- half a cup
olive oil - maybe a tablespoon or so I did not measure
nama shoya - same thing here

Blended all in my Vitamix - it was yummy.

Alissa has some good soup recipes in her book and so does Rawvolution.

I would also recommend raw blended soups. By the way, MelissaO, what's "Raw tomato concentrate"?

This Thai Soup is one of my favorites:

1 cup water
0-1 cup walnuts, for desired richness
1 cup baby spinach or spinach (optional)
2 tsp ginger
2 cloves garlic
Juice of one lime
2 tbsp Organic soy sauce (not a raw product) or ¼ tsp Celtic salt
1 tsp curry powder
Basil or other herbs of choice, to taste

Optional garnishes:
Cherry tomatoes
Cilantro

Blend all ingredients except optional garnishes until smooth. Add optional garnishes.

I like to use it during the winter when tomato that are store bought have no taste-

How about an egg salad dish made in food processor and then blended to a smooth sort of paste that would require no chewing. Add water and get yourself a soup too.

You may want to make some dishes and then puree them. I was thinking things like lasagna or pasta dishes.

I have had bad teeth all my life, a constant visitor to a fabulous dentist I finally found after lots of my teeth were "robbed" from me by bad dentists. I can understand your concern.

On my end waiting for the miracle of teeth growing back or getting implants one day. I have more than my share of teeth stories. Email me privately if you wish to talk teeth. I may even write a book one day about my own experiences, but invite other nightmares as well sadly.

Here's a post that I made from rawfreedomcommunity forum....I am not the author but here's what someone shared. It can be changed as you see fit:

"I wanted to share a recent modification that turned the "Raw Deviled Eggless Egg Spread" into a fabulous Eggless Egg Salad Sandwich. I've been eating it all week. Hope you like!

Serves 4-6

½ cup pure water (start with less add more)
Juice from one lemon or lime
1/4 tsp garlic powder (regular garlic is too harsh for me; powder works much better if you don't want to burp or sweat that stuff all week)
1 ½ teaspoons sea salt
1 ½ cups raw cashews
1 Tbsp organic yellow mustard or spicy mustard for a kick
1 - 1 1/2 Tbsp dill (dry or if fresh more)
1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Turmeric, as needed for color (approx. 1 teaspoon)
1 bunch celery diced into small bits (7-8 stalks) (pulse in the food processor for a desired crunchiness)
1 red pepper (pulse in food processor)

1. Place the water, lemon juice, garlic, sea salt and cashews in the high speed blender, and blend until very smooth.

2. With a spatula, take the mixture from the blender and place in a medium sized mixing bowl.

3. Stir in the mustard, apple cider vinegar, and turmeric until it reaches the color and flavor you desire. Add the celery and red bell pepper.

4. Serve with spinach and shredded carrots in a sandwich. I have been putting it on Russell James' Mediterranean Bread but any preferred bread recipe will do I am sure!"

Best to you.
