Is there a specific time a day where digestion is best? I believe I read this somewhere, I just dont remember where or what I read! (I could be making this up! haha) - I have noticed that I don't do well if I eat too early in the morning .....

Just listen to your body. Everyone is different. Normally you want to eat more & heavier foods earlier in the day and not close to bedtime. But if your body doesn't like eating early, then don't. I require a lot of food in the morning, so often my first meal isn't enough to satisfy me regardless of how big it is.

Middle of the day is your highest digestion period.

When you are hungriest, and not too close to bedtime.

In the a.m., you're breaking a fast so, too much too soon is not usually good.
As far as digestions goes, it "should" be good at all times. One way to get it going well is doing some movement ~ twisting, squatting moves ~ before eating to get the fire going. Next thing, chew!
Most of all, play with and enjoy your food.

You are SUPPOSE to have the biggest meal in the morning. I never do- I'm usually not in the mood to dive into fruits/veggies that early so it is usually just a banana and a handful of fruit for me.
Lunch is a good size meal for me, but dinner is always my largest.

A long time vegetarian friend used to remind me to eat the breakfast of a king, the lunch of a prince and the dinner of a pauper. She is quite elderly (opened a vegetarian restaurant in her 70's) and still going strong.

I think it depends upon which philosophy you follow...
Ayurvedic says middle of the day, I believe (when Pitta is strongest).
Some raw books say heaviest meal at night...some raw gurus say don't eat anything past 2p, some say fast until at least noon...if one is careful, one will think there is never a perfect time to eat. Eat when you are hungry...that is my thought. And for those that don't get hungry, eat anyway.

I think you mean the hours from 7-9 am in the morning according to chinese medicine and 11-1 according to ayurveda. This is just what I read somewhere too.

If I don't have a big breakfast then I am extremely hungry through out the day. I have less cravings for sweets, fats, cooked, salty foods.
