I'm going to a Super Bowl party with my boyfriend and of course, it's a potluck, so I'm bringing food.

I would LOVE to introduce the crowd to some wonderful examples of great, tasty raw food. But I'd like to stay with the "theme" so that it works well with all the other food they will be having. I do not want to bring anything they might consider weird because I think one way to get people interested in raw foods is to show them just how delicious it can be!

I've heard there's a recipe for raw vegan corn dogs out there. I've searched and searched for it online and not been able to find it. Anyone have it, by chance?

The only recipe I have that is tried and true are the living fries (jicama). I had these last week and I think they'd go over really well at the super bowl party.

The crowd is mostly people who are interested in healthy foods and organic produce. They eat 100% cooked but they do most of their shopping at Whole Foods, drive hybrid cars, care about the environment, etc. So I KNOW they'd be receptive to raw foods.

Raw recipes or ideas for Super Bowl Party? Something that would really go over well, please!

Thanks for any and all help. Links, recipes, ideas, anything would help. I'd like to take 3 or 4 dishes so that there's a nice variety and to ensure I will have enough to eat without going off raw that day!

What about a bunch of a version of those that are shaped more like chips and dehydrated, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, and maybe some chili? You could also have large collar greens made into wraps with the fillings, along with some extra collard greens for a sort of "make your own (green) 'burrito'".

I was thinking about making Alissa's corn chips with guacamole.

Corn chips and guac would be great; maybe hummus (zucchini or sprouted garbanzo) with chips and crudites?

You could make her date nut torte or fudge (something like that) and shape it like a football!! :D

I make a layered nacho dip that goes over really well with crowds. In a casserole dish, layer smashed avocado and lime, spicy walnut taco meat, what raw cheese you like, and a gorgeous red chunky salsa. This time of year, I'd use organic plum tomatoes to get a vibrant red in the salsa, particularly if you live in a cold climate like I do. Serve with flax chips. They'll gobble it up!

I would make what I like to eat and I would be assured of having food for Myself. Super Bowl Partys can be filled with mindless eating of Trash.

What a great idea!

I was gonna say nachos but the layered dip sounds perfect!! Bbq veggie kabobs would be good too. You could do onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, tomato, and pineapple chunks. Whip up a bbq sauce, put veggies on skewers, marinate for a bit and then dehydrate for a while....Yum!! Serve with extra bbq dipping sauce. I also like the date nut torte football idea or you could do Alissa's fudge balls in the shape of mini footballs. Have Fun!!

Yes, the layered dip is really good. I don't know if the spicy walnut taco meat recipe is on this site. But, if not you can find it on goneraw.com.

The other recipe that also works well is the Sausage and Pepper Pizza from that site, as well. You can dehydrate in advance and cut in squares and serve room temp. I've had meat-eaters tell me they like it better than the SAD version. I'd only do this, though, for a small crowd.

Oh... and same site, the lemon cookie recipe.

Alissa's stuffed mushrooms are excellent, too... though I prefer them warm from the dehydrator.
