Hello all, well, after losing 15 pounds that first week, i lost another 3 pounds this week. I have totally had no cravings or interest in chocolate, coffee, cookies or anything "bad". In fact, i have hardly any appetite at all!! This is new to me. I'm eating a gigantic salad at work every day (this alone is a miracle) and lots of fruits and raw nuts. On weekends i'll indulge in a not-raw whole wheat sandwich with sardines, i can't give that up. At least i top it off with spinach! I think i'm not drinking enough water, (because i'm neither hungry nor thirsty) but outside of that i feel great. 18 pounds in 2 weeks is nothing to sneeze at. Love reading everyone's ideas and encouragement, this helps me so much.

Great job!! It sounds like you are really making some progress. Salad-eating alone is a wonderful health practice.
Maybe you could slowly break your sandwich habit by replacing the cooked whole wheat bread with raw bread or with lettuce leaves. Then you could gradually add more veggies and raw pates/spreads to your sandwich while reducing the amount of sardines, until you are eating a totally raw vegan sandwich.
I have made it a habit to drink a bucketload of water immediately when I wake up, and again right before I go to bed. This keeps me effortlessly hydrated. Adding a bit of lemon or a squeeze of orange juice to your water can make it more palatable.

i know this is a dumb question, but where is everyone finding "raw bread"? The closest place i can look is Whole Foods, and haven't seen that there, or are you making it yourself? (i don't have a dehydrator yet). And RawStrength, aren't you in the bathroom all night long if you drink so much right before sleeping??

RAW Bread is just a Softer Cracker. But you can try "Wrap Sandwiches" This article had colorful pictures and directions but it did not print.

I fold it like a Burrito and surround it with a "Paper Towel" to help keep it together. I just put ANYTHING in it but try to ALWAYs use Avacodos..

Ani Phyo has a black sesame seed bread that is really nice.....as mentioned above, it is more like a cracker but soft because you don't dehydrate it as long.

:p I think RawStrength is one of the young-uns... 18 or something like that. They can drink a bucket of water and still sleep through the night. Unlike the 50-somethings like me!
